Nice where did you get it? I got the XSi + kit lens on sale for $699 at Future Shop. I was looking into getting a lens and was jealous when the 75-300mm was included in a new deal at FS for about $899.
Anyways let me know how the 55-250 is and how much/where you got it from please =)

In looking around the net after I saw the deal with the 75-300 USM lens I found that
Henry's, Futureshop, and
Vistek all offer that kit, Henry's is cheapest at $849.99.
Like I said the reviews of the 75-300 USM lens aren't that great so I went looking for another zoom lens and found the 55-250 EF-S IS was well received. As it turns out Vistek does have the
same kit I eventually bought. But I went to Henry's (as it's closer to my place) and got the kit there.
Now if I wanted to save an additional $15 I could have gone to
Aden Camera and get the XSi kit for $699.99 plus the 55-250 lens for $334.99, but considering the lack of support you get from Aden (compared to places like Henry's or Vistek) I thought it was well worth it to get it elsewhere ... and <cough> I quoted the Aden Camera price when talking to the salesperson...
I haven't tested out the zoom lens yet (I'm new to the SLR thing, and really need to learn), but if you're looking to get just the lens the best spot would be Aden according to my search.
