I have heard good things about Lab Series stuff, and I have always wanted to try it, but was put off because of the price. I don't smoke, and I don't drink, so I managed to justify treating myself :p. I ordered from ManKind.co.uk - I got free delivery and 10% off my total order, which made it cheaper than John Lewis:
I absolutely love LAB SERIES! I use the Daily Moisture Defense Lotion for my face. If you didn't get it, I recommend it. :)

Seagate FreeAgent Desk for Mac 500GB

I had one of the old FreeAgent drives, it was the black and orange USB one. It was really quiet. However, due to my vanity at the time, I sold it because it was ugly, and I hated the sight of it! I ended up buying a iOmega 500GB thing, which is really loudy and clunky and doesn't come with the 5 year guarantee which Seagate offers.

I see they [Seagate] have redesigned the drives. The white looks really good, and the base is a lot smaller.

Congratulations on your purchase I'm sure you'll really like it.

I was going to, but I have shiny skin so I got the anti-shine one :p!

Would you recommend anything else I never bought? I'm only 21 so I don't need any of the anti-wrinkle crap ...Yet... :p

Seagate FreeAgent Desk for Mac 500GB

I ordered Saturday delivery and the total was £102.

Yes I know it is pretty expensive for a 500GB drive, but it is designed for Mac and most importantly it has FireWire 800 connectivity. 800Mbps versus 480mbps that USB2 provides. The choice was easy.

After my old hard drive broke for no apparent reason at all, I got this one because it also has a 5 year warranty.

And yeah, my old Apple Time Capsule also broke. I don't have much luck with these things.

How's the lack of an actual on/off button sit with you? I was thinking of getting one of these for Time Machine down the line and that was the only sticking point for me. Can you unmount it and let it sleep then re-mount it fairly sharpish or is it a bit of a faff? I like to mount my disks, use them, back-up then unmount and turn them off.

I always used Seagate in my PC's and they were rock solid.

Got my navy pea-coat last night from Indochino. Their stuff is made to order, and they nailed the sizing. I measured myself, and was a bit nervous about the dimensions I gave them. The coat fits me flawlessly, so I must have gave them the correct info. :)

The material is incredibly soft, like they skinned 27 kittens that they were saving for future toilet paper commercials, and sew them together for me. :) It's not like the rough wool scraps they use in cheaper jackets.

Oh, I got 20% off using an online discount, which reduced the price to $280. :) THe box it came in was beautiful as well, although not quite "Apple" level.

I've attached a photo of it from their site. I'm not the guy though. Indochino couldn't afford my "super-ridiculously good looking" premium I charge for modelling fees anyway.

What's wrong with good old sandpaper to rid of the dirt, lemon juice to give your skin a bit of a tingly feel, soap, and water?

Interesting. Tell me more. What do you recommend?

Soap will usually tighten your face, and clog your pores. There are soaps you can buy that are designed to be used on the face, but the normal bar of soap will be too harsh on your skin (can strip your skin of moisture), especially if you have sensitive skin. As I mentioned, your generic bar of soap usually clog your pores and make your skin feel too tight.

Simple do a really cheap facial wash that lathers up, and is 100% soap free, very cheap, and won't clog your pores and is scent free.

Soap has been working for generations. Next, you'll tell me that water may cause drowning.

Just to ensure that my face is still moist after I use soap, I make sure that all my soaps are made from seal blubber. I have no issues with moisture, although when I'm out in the sun on a scorching hot day, I can hear my face sizzle. Smells great.

agree 100%. the skin around your face is much more sensitive than any other area of skin.

hence why they MAKE facial soaps and facial lotions.
they are created to help level the oil balance in your face and not try it out to cause "tightening" or early show of old age.

if you arent a heavy product fan, then betting a basic facial wash will do the trick.

I use a very, very diluted solution of Dr Bronner's Magic Soap in the morning followed with Aveeno Active Naturals Daily Moisturizing Lotion. At night it's just warm water with the lotion after.

Sad Black Friday

My last purchase was going to be a Samsung LCD TV. But not yet.

Their approach to Black Friday has been very mean. I wanted them to put the LN40A550 on sale. I love that set. Good features, great price usually and just a nice set for my needs. But what do they go and do?

Samsung goes and starts producing a CHEAPER 40" LCD set, the LN40A500. WHAT?! It's just not as good of a set. And I don't want that. Why did they have to go and do that to me?

The wait continues.
