I'm not going to click on that massive link. It's just obtrusive.

Well, I am a lover of seperate info display, which Canon's consumer cameras don't (now a days). Nikon's consumer cameras also got way better ergonomics for me. When it comes to prosumer, though, I prefer Canon.

Well I think all of Nikon's cameras have better ergonomics than Canon's, who aren't famous for it. Using a Canon is as unnatural for me as using a Pentax K100D or K200D. I just can't figure it out. I guess you just get used to the camera you own. I'd rather feel like I've always had a feel for the camera.

Yeah, the Nikons have the separate display, which is nice. The Canon 450D is a better overall camera, IMO. At least it accepts all of Canon's lenses.

I have a Nikon D300, but my next camera will probably be whatever replaces the D90.

Speedlite 430EX flash for my Digital Rebel XT:

The price finally reached the $200 limit I had set myself for buying a decent flash (because of the release of the 430EX II).

This flash is actually one of my favorite purchases for my XT. It can make a huge difference in any indoor photo (macro shots for shooting electronics to candid pictures of people.)

I agree. Canon cameras are cameras you pick up and just "get." My experience with Nikon (which I'll admit is limited) gave me a feeling of being over convoluted. Like they tried to make it look nice, but give it a huge learning curve at the same time. Buttons are dispersed all over the place and it was just a very confusing thing to me. And I use a 5D Mark II.

I believe this was an older D40, so I'm going to give the benefit of the doubt to Nikon and say their newer cameras are fantastic. This one is just awful. Absolutely the slowest, worst auto-focusing I've ever seen on a DSLR, and a confusing layout to match.

The XSi is a *fantastic* camera, and I feel the very best entry level camera out there. Many, many reviewers agree. I have one as a back up crop body in my equipment bag, and I absolutely love it. Get one, get comfortable with and upgrade. Apply that knowledge to Canon's great xxD line or even jump to full-frame. I was going to sell my XSi when I got my 5D II but I just love it so much that I'm going to keep it. It's light and small (especially compared to the huge 5D) and takes absolutely stunning photos.

A real winner. If you need video on an entry level camera, then the D90 is your only option. But if you're not in a rush, it is rumored that Canon will be releasing an update to the Rebel line that will be called the 'TSi' and is slated to include video recording capabilities. Look out for Canon, they've sat back on their lead for a few years and Nikon has really come out swinging. Canon is going to really get going soon.

Sorry for the long winded post

Couldn't decide whether I wanted a boot with a 98mm or 100mm last, so I bought both and will return one.

*goes into shock*
I want! I just figured out I only have Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, must have "lost" the others because I know I bought them. I love those movies. But none of the boxed sets include A Year Without Santa Clause. I don't get it. :(
