Not technically a purchase as I won it in a sweepstakes/contest thing. I never win anything so it was rather exciting. I did have to by another HD for the laptop though, nothing fancy just a 250G WD, sadly a 5.4K drive, but after installation it should be fine. Trouble was with OS X, Logic, and the full Komplete software library the total space needed was 115G, sadly for a drive with 111G avalible after format this was an issue. It took 26 hours from back up, to replacing the drive, installing the OS, Installing Logic, installing all updates, then installing Komplete 5, then all the updates for that. 12 DVDs full, 2.12GB written into "temp" (usually this is only a few MB). The updates along for Komplete 5 were 3Gb worth. This is no small program, and I have a lot to go through. Lucky for me I have no job to disract me from playing with it.
Got to look at the bright side of everything.
YAY! for not having to pay for legitimate software licencing!
I should add that when mother said "what goes around comes around" that she was correct. Back in October I got ripped off on a bogus computer sale and was out $1292. Separately Komplete 5 and Kore 2 would equal $1400. Of course it would have been nice to have all this software on that new computer that really never existed.
