I'm no photographer, but I am tempted to say that it blocks light coming from your right. Your nose blocks the rest
It helps block outside light so it makes it easier to see what's inside the viewfinder. Also makes it much more comfortable. You need to set it up according to your eye and shooting method.
Lastly, it keeps your nose from smooshing the LCD screen haha.
You're in the US, right? In Canada we can't use store credit for apps...

Surely, How is it that a hockey game is played on a ipad or iphone? I am interested in hearing some kind of review, as there are many moves (shots, dekes, checks, etc...) that need to be made using just fingers?
