1. I'm obsessed with this movie (which is weird since I never wanted to see it but saw it at a theater in Balad, Iraq of all places and LOVED it! So I bought the making of Avatar book.

2. Unreal Engine book for class.

3. Cocoa Design Patterns to help solidify my Cocoa knowledge.

4. Advanced Texturing in Maya! Even though I get my models to look the way I want them to I can't help but think I'm doing things in a very in-efficient way...


Mind you I only went book shopping for the "Mastering Unreal Technology" book but the other three crept into my cart when I wasn't looking...

Picked up one of the new shuffles today to use in the gym. The lack of weight and the size of the memory is perfect for what I will be using it for. I have my iPhone 4 for everywhere else.

this looks like the graphite ipod nano. is this a true representation of the blue shuffle? i assume it is the blue one. they only have silver shuffles where i live, but i really like this color.

This comes with a story to tell, or a rant in my case.

I bought new computer parts for my usual upgrades every so often, 2 years this one was. I bought a new mobo, cpu, ram with the intention of keeping everything else in my current case and replacing my old with the new 3 items I just bought.

Install my mobo to find out the Q connector cables don't work with my motherbored because dell decided to make their cables only work with their motherboards, neat. Bought a new case, 150 dollars extra that I didnt want to spend.

Case came, day started great. Everything gets put into my case, go to power on..power supply died apparently as it wont work on anything. CPU also was DOA so I have to RMA all of this crap and will be without my desktop for approx 2 weeks..Amazing!

Not bad looking. At least, you've got a pretty "unique" iPad! Not only that. From the photos, it seems like you did a heck of a good job putting the gelaskin on because it lines up perfectly.

I was wondering what a 9700 with OS 6 would be like without the touch screen. Heard a lot about people liking OS 6 on the Torch, but I don't plan on upgrading, just want the new OS. Can you please post a review later? Thanks

I watched Gangs of New York the other night, during the riot scene, there was a poster with 'A. Lincoln' and 'F. Douglass' saying 'The two men ruining America' or something along those lines. I'm English with Irish blood so we were never taught about the slave trade and the American civil war so I had never heard of him. Decided to search in iBooks., and bought it for 59p. Read 30 pages last night, his memories of being a slave child really are upsetting. My fiancée is African American and she majored in History, she loves me trying to learn more about her (and my future) country's history and culture. Some of the things she says about race in the United States, from slavery, miscegenation, Jim Crowe laws really seem so alien to me.

Not the exact car - but I also had a driving lesson in preparation for my test on 20th October... First time driving a manual car in 3 years (was insured as a learner on my mum's Focus for a couple of months this year), and it was easy, like riding a bike

It's nowhere near a match for the colour of the shuffle unfortunately but it is the blue one. Took a quick picture if it with my iPhone 4 to upload. It's a lot nicer to look at in real life too. I just cant get over how small it is

I have Macbook Pro and use USB only for external HD and iPod sync and I already think its too much usb devices ahaha!
