+1; took my g/f to see this as well and couldn't agree more. This movie has EVERY overused army and war movie cliche I think I've ever heard of/seen. Played like a 90 minute commercial for the Marines; shaky cam was horrendous too, meh...

All that being said however, how cool was it to see the 'Amblin Entertainment' logo pop up for Super 8? Can't wait for that one!! :)

Oh darn, I was hoping this would be good but I figured it wouldn't be. Being former military I HATE seeing military in movies. Its so overdone all the time and looks completely fake.

Mind if I ask where you buy that from?

I found mine at Entertainment Earth, but Andrew Bell himself said they over-promised on pre-orders, so I think even I'd be lucky to get my order fulfilled. Otherwise, eBay for astronomical prices or DYZplastic store later this year... Sucks, but that's the world of buying these damn Android figurines, haha

Bought this MBA Rev. A off CL for $200 with broken hinges, sent in to apple for repair and they replaced everything except the battery and keys on the keyboard! everything else is brand new.

How much did apple charge you for the repairs? Great pick up

A couple of recent purchases. Took a little field trip to Lowe's. Can't go there w/o going to the tool section. My old one was getting tired so I picked up this set

Don't let me deter you...it's worth it if you have time to kill and wanna grab a quick "summer action" flick. But the poor dialogue, cliche military characterization, and full on gratuitous love for the Marines was a bit much IMO.

If you think this is bad then check out Skyline... It's even worse!!!

:(....unfortunately I saw that too and I agree with you.

+1 to the above comments.

I went to watch Skyline last year with huge expectations but ended up feeling that it was an absolute complete waste of my 90 minutes. That movie is really that bad IMHO. :( The only good thing I enjoyed out of that movie was watching actress, Scottie Thompson.

With a focal length like that, it's pretty difficult to find a third-party lens that won't front/back focus. I purchased a new filter (ridiculously expensive since the filter thread is 77mm, but I've got a wide angle I can use it for anyway), and I think I'll keep the Sigma, as I tested a Nikon 50mm f1.4g which seemed to suffer from some similar issues particularly wide open. Sort of defeats the purpose of purchasing the 1.4 over the 1.8 for me, but oh well. :(

BW_Filter_UV.jpg

Most lenses work best at -1 stop from the highest. So don't use 1.4 use 2 or 2.8 for somewhat better results.

i have recently decided to move in to somewhere of my own, out of my parents house with my Girlfriend. We have not found a house/flat yet but we are planning on finding somewhere in the coming weeks.

So we were passing an IKEA today in Nottingham and decided to buy a few Essentials so we don't have to spend on everything all at once!

photoqi.jpg

all this came under £80 included was 2 laptop storage shelves (Not Pictured) which were apparently down from £51.89 to £5 to get rid of them!

cant wait to find somewhere to live!

Hey, where did you buy the androids? How much did you pay for them?

I found mine at Entertainment Earth, but Andrew Bell himself said they over-promised on pre-orders, so I think even I'd be lucky to get my order fulfilled. Otherwise, eBay for astronomical prices or DYZplastic store later this year... Sucks, but that's the world of buying these damn Android figurines, haha

Hope the above helps. Good luck. :)

That looks awesome! Could you post back with how well the H70 is? Is it even watercooling or what?

My PC looks like a mess inside compared to your tidily done rig.

Good luck to you! It'll be a great experience. I tried it recently and as much as I loved it, I picked the wrong person to move in with :p Needless to say, I'm back with my parents for the time being.
