Nikon D800e and a spare EN-EL15 battery. Just as well, it seems to run down batteries quickly.

And soon to purchase a repair for it - the top LCD screen cover has got a crack in it. :( I have no idea how it happened, but I'll have to use it tomorrow as is and then get it fixed another day.

You betchya! Went with the entry-level.

Look at those zebras, look at how it all comes together.

Nice...well I was 50% right. No volume control, but I guess max volume is better than low volume.

I wonder if you can change the volume under the "volume limit". In the iPhone settings there is a volume limit under the "music" settings.

I tried the volume limit (and all other settings I could think of) but it didn't help as I think they just manage the regular output. I have an 3.5mm male to 3.5mm female with volume control on it, but it's Sony Ericsson so it has some extra stuff that makes it hard to connect. Think I might have to take it to "surgery" later today. :)

Oh I like that price, still a bit too pricey for me. I wish the 13" got a makeover too!

So the total came out to 2,000 plus tax (Damn I hate Tax!) but why did they carge you for the gift card? Did it get adjusted later?

Not exactly a purchase, but this week I asked my girlfriends parents for permission to marry their daughter, and I was kindly presented with an engagement ring that has been passed down through the family. I believe it was her great-grandmother's.

However, some money may need spending for professional cleaning and resizing!

The image doesn't really do it justice.

Thats one busy week, and a fantastic purchase, the battery grip is nice, but that 50mm f1.2 is amazing on the 5D2, enjoy a good purchase ;)

I take it the SD was for another item?

Congrats, the engagement ring is a big expense that you don't need to worry about...except sizing and cleaning.

Did you ask her yet?

Good to see the old fashioned values of asking permission are still alive,
Good luck hope it all goes well ;)

Not yet...we're on holiday in the Lake District (UK) in 3 weeks so I'll do it then. I shall post an update afterwards!

Yeah my girlfriends family are incredibly traditional, so I thought it would be best to ask permission properly!

Thanks.

Have you guys actually tried it out/looked at it in store or did you just buy the retina MBP sight unseen?

Not technically a purchase, after years using Blackberrys on Orange I had a complaint, Orange investigated and ended my BB contract 8 months early and upgraded me free to a iPhone 4s so Im happy to stay with Orange a while longer. (not my picture)
