How does it work without blades? How do you like it?

Pressure. There's a tiny fine cutting line across the surface of the tool right in the middle that when you apply pressure by pressing the latch down on the pill, it cracks it down the center. Pretty basic stuff actually. But because you're not using a blade, the tool can also damage the pill if you do it wrong.

Just pre-ordered my Coin multi credit/debit card smart card lol for half off. Last day to order though, it will cost $100 starting tomorrow. It let's you load a bunch of your cards into one using a card reader and an iOS or Android app, and you switch between your cards using the Coin card itself which is awesome. If you lose it, it will lock up so no one can use it. It'll also alert you if you forgot it at the table or something because it's got freaking Bluetooth proximity! Only downside is that the battery inside isn't rechargeable, should last for 2 years and then you need to purchase a new card.

Looks like Coin is extending its 50% off early pre-order pricing until the new year.

It works pretty much as SchneiderMan described above. I spoke with the vendor last night, and he said it uses a wedge shaped edge, much like a tree wedge is used to open the split in a tree.

I have not yet received it, so I can't give it any reviews. It is easy returned if I don't like the way it works. I read a couple of reviews (not on the selling site) and they were positive. Considering the cost, it better work!

My only justification for spending that much on a pill splitter is the others, which use a blade, have to be replaced with some regularity...although with some you can just replace the blade.

I'm certainly not suggesting that anyone buy this gizmo...just write it of to me being more than a tiny bit nuts.:p

what do you run it through?

The cabinet seen in the picture is a cheapo Carvin BR-210C 2 10" woofers and a horn tweeter. Perfect for bedroom practicing. Doesn't have the super lows but it's more than adequate for it's purpose. I've got a Gallien-Krueger RBH 410 for playing live. I tried this head through that cabinet and boy does it sound good! Even better than my Gallien Krueger RB 700 head.

sounds good

i play an Ashdown ABM-500 myself, which unfortunately weighs in at juuust a little over 6lbs...

i really like this trend of highly portable lightweight amps that pack serious punch though, i should look into them

Some nice basses there and no mistake Mr McMac!

Thanks! I've been playing since 1969 and have been through more basses and amps than I can count. I'm quite pleased with these

Picked up a $50 iTunes gift card for my Father and a Whirlpool Everydrop for my Mother for Christmas. I'm interested in seeing how she likes the Everydrop, she had one of those Pur filters on the faucet forever and loved it.

And a Nike Tech Pack sweatshirt. I got it on sale, and still might have paid too much.
