My bedroom is so dusty to the point where I just had to do something about it. So I just pulled the trigger on this Winix FresHome P150 air purifier with autosense technology that supposedly checks the air quality and adjusts the filtrations intensity accordingly so that it's a lot more efficient. Smart air purifier then? Of course it's got a HEPA filter. Hopefully it wouldn't be annoyingly noisy at lower fan speeds. I already have a GermGuardian standing in the living room, which I'm not entirely happy with.

Really cool, probably the best interface I've used on a TV. Everything runs smoothy and there is no lag. The Magic Remote is kinda funky, but I like it. I guess the TV is relatively new so aps are limited and the LG Store is down right now lol. I chose this one over the non wifi version because of the better picture (which is noticeable). For a 20W sound system in the TV, it's not bad. Detailed high, mids, and lows. I heard parts of GTA that I didn't hear with my Yamaha surround sound. Nothing bad to say so far... Ask me again in about a week.

I'm glad to hear that you are liking it! I'm in the market for a TV at the moment and am really interested in the WebOS interface.

I picked myself up a new used truck this morning. This is going to be for my job, and commuting to school. The job requires I get into 61 different parking lots and parking garages all around Los Angels, and the Valley. My lifted, 4-door, long bed F-350 is just too big. And my autocross car is way too small. So its getting moved to just our long trip/ off-road/ camping truck. The Neon is going 5 hours north to indoor, long term storage (we live in an apartment, and don't have a garage anymore), and this will be my new work/daily driver. Got a killer deal on it, and I know the previous owner (as he is my boss). Image

Nice truck. What kind of engine is in it and what's the expected fuel economy like?

Thanks,
Its a 2007 F150 XL. Its a loaded base model, with power everything, and cloth seats. Just has the gray bumpers and rubber floor board. Its got a 5.4l V8, and is automatic and 4WD. Based on what the previous owner told me, and my experience (dad has a king ranch 5.4l 4wd F150) it should get somewhere around 15mpg. Which isn't bad, since thats mixed driving in LA (traffic, lots of traffic). My F350 gets around 13mpg or worse in the city, and up to 18 on the freeway. But, with the miles ill have to cover, this will be cheaper, since gas is cheaper than diesel most of the time these days, and maintenance on this truck will be significantly cheaper than on the diesel. The price was right on the truck too, I know its history and how its been cared for, and I paid several thousand under blue book value. With the job I need it to do for me, a smaller vehicle or car just wasn't an option. But this is much smaller than my F350, so its physically able to do the job.

I had a 2003 F-150 Super Crew with the 5.4L and 4x4. Over the eleven years I had it, it averaged about 12-14 mpg.

I had the '99 XLT F150 with the 5.4L. It wasn't 4x4 and averaged around 14 mpg street and 17 highway. I had it from 2000 to 2008 (Dad had it for the first year we owned it) and put 272k on the original motor and transmission. Great vehicles!

Yeah, it was highly reliable vehicle and I only had 185,000 miles on mine before trading it in for a 2014 Ford Fusion SE. I needed something with far better fuel economy. But aside from that, it was a fantastic truck and did all sorts of tasks for me over the years.

I like hearing about how they're reliable. lol. My F350 is a 6.0l diesel, and of course, I've had ALL of the typical 6.0l problems with it. Ive spent more on the engine alone in that truck, than this F150 cost me. But, I now have a bulletproof 6.0l.

I worked for ford many years ago, and worked on everything. But my first real experience has been from my dads 150, he bought brand new in 2005. Other than some A/C troubles, its been perfect. I just need this truck to be my commuter and survive LA traffic for a couple of years while I go back to school, and work this job. Though Im sure Ill probably get attached to it and want to keep it. (the F350, and my '57 chevy truck are my pride and joys)

My father retired from Ford after 31 years. He has a 2003 F-350 dually, super crew, with one of the turbo V8's (I forget which size it is). About the only problem he's had with it was the oil pan rusting out, which as I understand it, was a common problem for those engine models. The dealer replaced it under warranty, but it took them two weeks to fix it!

I've never been a fan of Ford; however, in 2011 I broke down and bought myself a new F150 Raptor. I've been pleasantly surprised over the last three years and 55,000 miles. Having said that, there isn't a single Ford vehicle, aside from the Raptor, that I would consider purchasing at this time.

Let me know how she finds it.
I also have the same old MB as her, and I'm looking to replace it with the same machine that you picked out :)

Cheers!

Have you used a mac with an SSD yet? Real snappy! I have a 2012 Air that still runs great but this is a first for her. I'm excited for her. :D

Glad you're enjoying the Raptor. Those look super expensive too!

It's a blast on and off road. I ordered mine and after a 13-week wait I paid right around $48k OTD.

$48K isn't all that bad actually. I seem to remember hem being around $60K. That must be with all the options or something like that, eh? What color did you get?

$55-65k is what you'll pay for one sitting on the lot. I saved a fortune by ordering one and waiting. About a year and a half after owning mine my Dad couldn't take it anymore. He took a trip the local Ford dealer and paid $54k for one sitting on the lot.

Mine is white (2011), my Dad's is blue (2013).

Absolutely love raptors.
Still too young to drive one though. :(
