Picked up a couple of new stickers for the back of my truck. Living in SoCal, Im sure the masses won't understand them, but I am still the type of person to believe in these things.

Also picked these up. They are original, authentic Apple stickers. When I was in the 6th grade (back in 1994) I got a set of these from my teacher. Had them all these years, until I picked up and moved down here. Haven't been able to find them since. Tho I am sure they are in a box somewhere in storage. But had the chance to get two more sheets for the sticker collection, so I figured, why not?

That looks real nice. Did you get it from their website, or do you know of a cheaper place to order one?

the only place i have found them to order is from their website unless you get lucky and find one of ebay.

I will say the pack is amazing quality and super fast shipping, I am pretty sure they ship 2 day USPS

If you follow them on Facebook or check on their forums they will have coupons every once in a while.

Some mighty fine local gin...

Love that place. Amazing view from the distillery. Strangely its cheaper at Bevmo and Total Wine most of the time.

Yup...those stills hidden in the woods are beautiful places to visit.

Just make sure that the revenuers don't follow you for your visit.

And straining it through cheesecloth reduces the probability of blindness!

I'm curious to hear how those Nest thermostats work out for you after a while.

Although I don't own one, the reading I have done out of interest in it suggests that if you can program a less expensive programmable thermostat (not a real big problem as I can do it) you get pretty much the same operation.

But I would certainly withdraw my evaluation in the face of contradictory experience by those who own them.

I've had my gen 1 Nest for years. I don't treat it like a programmable thermostat, just set it and forget it. It stays off when I'm not home, and I can turn it on/off from my phone if needed (on a hot/cold day when I'm ~15 minutes away from home). I am a bit worried about Google messing things up, but there just isn't a great alternative, yet. I'm waiting for reviews on the Honeywell Lyric, but I don't trust Honeywell to keep the thermostat/app bug-free and as easy as the Nest.

Are you down in these parts too? I came from NorCal, but the fiancees work and my return to school required a move. Overall, I don't regret it. But I do miss the smell of dairies around me every day.

I generally don't fit in down here well. (I also have an NRA sticker next to my Apple sticker, on the interior of my camper shell, its in the "Do you have an Apple sticker on your car?" thread.) Almost a year and half in, and Im still not used to this thing called apartment living. I drive a truck thats way to big to fit just about anywhere around here. (though with the new job, picking up a new 4x4 F150, also in white, next week, so it'll fit in parking garages).

And I spend way too much time playing with computers (impossible to get Apple anything on the CL in NorCal, the market is better here), and Im all Apple now. No more Windows.

I like to think of myself as High Class White Trash.. or just a confused redneck. lol

Ibera large frame bag. 12.99 shipped amazon.

Nice. I am seriously contemplating a fat bike for riding in the winter.

My last major purchase was a Wii U Deluxe with Mario & Luigi U, pro controller and MK 8 (downloaded Windwaker HD as my free game for purchasing MK8).

I really never thought i'd be a Wii owner, but I played MK8 at a friend's house on "Nintendo night" (just a bunch of people getting together to play Nintendo games) and really enjoyed it. Went out and bought a Wii U 2 days later. Just got an Xbox One not too long ago as well.. and plan on buying a PS4 soon'ish.

I have no idea when i'll have time to play all these consoles, but it's good to be prepared, right?

Unfortunately I do not(Northern Virginia) , grew up in Florida and been to Northern Cal a good bit. I just breathe better in those places due to my asthma and allergies. Love the country side out in North Cal but the surf there is unbelievable. Only thing that really stops me is the gun laws and the people there that are against it. Feel you on the parking, it is a pita.

In a coffee shop.
Have you always had that fine collection of sugar cube holders?

Nice one….

They're actually called "absinthe spoons".

And yes, I've had the collection since I started drinking absinthe...about 4 months ago. When I started with absinthe, as is my wont, I started collecting accessories...and the spoons were the first things I collected.

Here are a few...

Lovely collection; elegant, and classy, and so exquisitely made…….form and function fused effortlessly….
Ahh yes, "absinthe spoon" should have been a natural guess...

Sweet collection.

Agreed.

The Orrefers bowl just arrived.

Here is is in situ in the Absinthe Corner...

Ah, lovely. Shrink, my friend, I had made the acquaintance of absinthe long, long before you did, and now……you have turned the consumption of this divine nectar into An Art Form!

I just ordered these. I saw a character wearing them in a film, and searched and search until I found them

(Not my Photos)

Elegant frames….

What character might that be?

This is exactly the question that had occurred to me to ask, but you beat me to it...

Knowing Shrink, I'm kind of doubting it's that character he was inspired from. ;)

I share your doubts on that score…..

A very elderly Dracula...who was having problems finding necks.

Actually, it was the Samuel L Jackson character in the film "One Eight Seven".

And you thought I was just making **** up!:p

Touché.

You certainly got that right!

No criticism of Harry Potter...just not my cup of...well...you know the expression.;)

BTW: For those eyeglass frame freaks out there...Harry Potter frames are full round, the frames I bought are semi-round.

Aren't you glad you asked...:p

Actually, initially, I thought that you might have had Atticus Finch in mind…

However, I have had more or less full round frames for decades (i.e. in other words, since long before Harry Potter made his initial appearance in print….)

Re HP, the books are actually very good…….whereas the movies, well…..

So jealous.

I really want a Wii U, and that's an awesome package of games you got there!

I saw another pack that included Mario Kart 8 + another crappy game + 2 games to choose from. Should have bit the bullet then. :O

Hyosung New Tee Up 50cc Scooter. Need something to get to the bus station each day quicker than a 30min walk (on top of a 1hr bus ride). Was looking around at models and found a brand new ones of these, but Ex-Demo with only 300km for NZ$1000 than I was expecting so did the deal. Got it in white even though I prefered the red.

And my wife's 7yr old Dell Studio laptop has finally started packing up, so picked her up a cheap Acer Aspire V7. Seems pretty nice so far.

This one even says it smells like fresh lavender breeze. I also swapped my standard green walls for this rather dramatic photo of a sunset that I think is much more apposite.
