Just picked one of these up today.

It seems to work as advertised, so far.

I have not tried steaming wirelessly with multiple devices yet but I'm hoping this will be just what I wanted for long plane flights. I always end up filling my iPad storage with movies and TV Shows, then when I need to download something I am out of space.

A Seagate Wireless Plus 1TB WiFi HDD.

It has a built-in battery to last 9-10 hours and creates its own WiFi network. You join that network and then you can play videos, music, etc streamed from the HDD. Supposedly multiple devices can stream at the same time.

I have something similar, but it's not an all in one like that one. Really handy little device

Have you always had that fine collection of sugar cube holders?

They're actually called "absinthe spoons".

And yes, I've had the collection since I started drinking absinthe...about 4 months ago. When I started with absinthe, as is my wont, I started collecting accessories...and the spoons were the first things I collected.

Here are a few...

Ahh yes, "absinthe spoon" should have been a natural guess...

Some mighty fine local gin...

I'm sure that the gin is brilliant...and I love the bottle!:D

I'm curious to hear how those Nest thermostats work out for you after a while.

Although I don't own one, the reading I have done out of interest in it suggests that if you can program a less expensive programmable thermostat (not a real big problem as I can do it) you get pretty much the same operation.

But I would certainly withdraw my evaluation in the face of contradictory experience by those who own them.

This is about bang-on. I've had mine for close to a year. It is a thermostat for the lazy (ie. me).

I wasn't the biggest fan of iOS 7's graphic overhaul, so I wasn't thrilled to see Yosemite take visual cues from iOS. Time to take a rather large drink of:
