I've been finishing up a DIY project of built-in bookshelves. I just bought some primer and paint and finished it up. I also removed the old builder grade glass shades on the light and put in some Edison bulbs.

Lovely book shelves, very well done; as my books seem to breed, I am always in the market for attractive book shelves…....

Mind you, I also like the desk lamp, and indeed, that nice table, too…...

Here is my last big purchase. Got it around a month ago. I'm a complete VW fan now. Its a 2014 VW GLI Edition 30.

Congrats. All my cars since I was 16 have been VW. Awesome cars. Some people say they are girl cars but my black one makes me feel like Batman :).

Tho its leased. Not sure if I am going to upgrade to a Passat or go the Audi route. Def love VW tho.

D-Link DSL 2890al ADLS modem.

Why was I living with a crappy net gear all this time???

I had quite the opposite experience:
In the mid-2000s, I went through 4 d-link routers in a matter of months. They worked for a few weeks then became bricks, could not be reset, would just power on and BLINK . Finally switched to netgear and it is still working to this day as an ethernet switch.

Picked this up brand new for $20, thanks to a big trade-in at GameStop. Not my first choice in color, but the gold Zelda and the silver Mario/Luigi ones are difficult to find.

My birthday was a week ago, and I got some money from that, plus I sold my Wacom Bamboo so I got some money from that. So, I decided that since I have a job at the end of the month that will pay for part of my D7000, I would buy some things for it, plus a pair of shoes to use as dress shoes (I needed something comfortable for wearing while shooting a wedding). So I bought:

Vans Atwood: $52.60
Neewer Battery Grip for Nikon D7000: $33.95
Spare battery for D7000: $13.37
Fotasy NSQF Sling Strap: $19.18
Shutter Release with built in timer: $20.95

TOTAL: $140.05

Just ordered this to help with my video and photo editing. Using the trackpad on my MacBook makes my finger numb and tingly, a mouse is a must for long periods of editing.

A Birkin. You're right. Expensive taste but beautiful handbag :p

Yesy yes. I've heard all before. I have to admit though, even though I'm not a fan of some of their jewelry and patterns for women, I am quite impressed with their men's accessories like notebooks and wallets. Their saddles are of course top notch, but I don't ride and I think they may be a bit too big for my miniature schnauzers.
