Wow... shipment came in, and things became real. All started with a friend asking me to shoot portraits of her with her DSLR. Learning to use her DSLR in manual and shooting portraits was great, but the fun part was learning post-processing in Lightroom and Photoshop with a Wacom tablet... and now... I'm hooked. Thank God for "EDU Advantage" through B&H. Saved me $320 on the Sony A7 RIII alone. But... that's what made me pull the trigger... LOL...:(

Enjoy. It's not a cheap hobby (see signature).

Don't forget to post some images in the POTD section on here.

Can’t deciddd to pull the trigger or not. The lower range and lack of occusync or whatever DJI calls it has me second guessing it.

I was an early adopter about four years ago. I had a DJI Phantom2 with Zenmuse gimbal and a Go Pro3+. That set was complimented with a Zeiss Cinemizer to do FPV in the Alps. I had fun with it, but it was too heavy to carry and too cumbersome for mountaineering and international travel. The gimbal was great but the Zeiss was not really a finished & integrated product. Price tag that time was about 3k. I sold the whole set after a year, because technology just wasn't there. - but now in 2018? - I admit, I was waiting for it. Just sold my Vive VR set, because I just didn't use it often.

Had the same thought as you did. But since DJI introduced the new goggles RC with a full suite of occusync equipment, I will have a two step solution. The Mavic Air will be for travel, mainly for vacation & fun. Its so small and it will be perfect for an upcoming trip to Kathmandu. The long range system, consisting of an E-Flight Opterra will be my home system for range recon and high elevation flight in the Alps. And I can do this now with only one set of goggles and it will be leaps compared to that old Zeiss. The Mavic Air in Red will be delivered mid February in Germany, so you need to wait a bit for real time experience if you are interested to hear feedback.

Well we just moved and on the way here, some low life stole our Uhaul trailer. Just got our insurance claim complete and decided it was time to upgrade my MacBook. This is what I bought, 2017 MacBook Pro 256GB SSD!

The trailer had my wife's MacBook she used as an alternate to her iMac, so I am giving her my old 2011 MacBook and I will use this new one for work/college homework. I have a few other things we recently purchased due to the move and will post later.

Have been looking into getting a hard drive for a long time, every time I talk myself out of it. Now that I upgraded to this macbook and need extra space, I almost bought a 4TB for $120 yesterday, woke up this morning and they had this one on sale and I have a $25 coupon so it worked out!

I close on my first home tomorrow.
Congratulations!!

Okay, Arrow Video and Synapse need to stop releasing Dario Argento restorations already*. I will probably buy the Digital version of this as well (depending on which cut it is.)

While this is probably my least favorite of Dario's best giallos, it has some great moments.

Plus exciting things like garbage bags, packing tape and cinnamon supplements.

*Holding off on Synapse's standard release of Suspiria and waiting on the digital and limited ed. restoration of Arrow's Cat o' Nine Tails.

Finally more Shaw Brothers on iTunes, including one title I've been wanting in HD for awhile now.

Yay, finally the Fu Hung Hsueh movies are complete. I bought two more, including one that I am lukewarm about save for a cameo.

Cinnamon supplements? Supplementing what?
