Heard nothing but good things about Buffalo Trace. I got a bottle of Knob Creek waiting to be opened soon haha.
Its a great one for sure.

Had a bottle of Weller's which I thoroughly enjoy but it got stolen in the White Elephant extravaganza.

Some treats for the holidays:

Being from Fort Worth, if I see White Elephant, I'm thinking White Elephant saloon in the stockyards.

I was like wtf happened? and what is this extravaganza? :D

Picked up a Solo Stove.
My wife and I go 'glamping' a bit and a lot of campsites don't have firepits so this is a portable stainless smokeless firepit. We do a lot of sitting around a campfire
I'm not sure how smokeless it is yet. I just got it out of the box to take a look at it before heading to bed.
Looking forward to firing it up.

I checked the website after your post. That thing looks awesome!

4m of 6mm threaded rod, a 1kg bag of 6mm nuts, some 1" brass valves and several packs of 5, 6 and 8mm steel washers. I think one picture conveys most of that:

I want that.

For what?
Most immediately, to brace a LED spotlight under the eves of my shed/workshop/whatever-you-want-to-call-it. For long (or even just slightly odd) applications, threaded rod is much easier to find/use and cheaper too (e.g. for the light I'll be cutting segments about 120mm long, finding 100+mm regular bolts in sizes (and prices) that aren't massively overkill is quite hard here.

Threaded rod is one of those things you can never really have too much of, hence buying 4m when I need about 24cm right now - I just happened to run out.

The valves are for new plumbing so I can move our water filters.

If it wasn't obvious, the nuts fit the threaded rod, and washers are almost as invaluable as threaded rod, hence just grabbing a handful of sizes - I was out/running low.

I used to work in engineering so always had things like this to hand and the tools to do what I needed. But these days I tend to just pay the overinflated prices at the DIY store.

Ah. I am but a simple DIYer, so I'd often choose a pre-made option if there is one, but here, choices aren't always great. I've literally been told in a hardware/homeware store, that sells all manner of water tanks, plumbing fittings, pipes, complete bathroom setups: "no, we don't have washers". But - as you said - having a basic item on hand means no trip required/no waiting for a delivery.

More details please!!!

They are far and away the best Bluetooth headphones I've ever owned. Which I guess they should be as they are somewhat expensive ($800). I've owned and used:

1. Sony XM4
2. Bose QC 35 II
3. Bose 700
4. Bowers and Wilkins P7X
5. Master and Dynamic MW65
6. Airpods Max

Comparing them to the Airpods Max is honestly humorous. The build quality is superior in every way with the H95 headphones. They are lighter, 1000x more comfortable, made with metal and premium leather, have magnetic ear cups, and the dials to control ANC/Transparency and volume are freaking awesome.

From a sound standpoint they smoke the Airpods Pro. Its honestly not even close to me listening to the two. I find the ANC equal to and even superior to the APM as they don't crush your skull with the amount of pressure they are pumping in the block the noise. There is way less audio leak with the H95's as well.

They also provide premium braided cables and a beautiful storage box. I did not feel like the AirPods Max were worth the $550 Apple was asking. But I can say with complete confidence that the $800 Bang and Olufsen H95s are worth every single penny.

Thanks for that - I may take look at them. Whats the weight like - do they sit on the heavier side on your head?

The weight is perfect. I hated the Airpods Max because they felt like a brick sitting on my head. The H95s are up there with the QC35 II's for me in terms of comfort for me and they cause no pressure from clamping and sit softly on the head.

The braided loop is one of those things that despite it's price, you wonder why this wasn't released without the first watch. It really is wonderful.

Quality of braided loop is impeccable. I was so tempted to go third party but I know what I will receive with those third party. Fitting and stitching will be differed by a mile
It really is pricey just for a Watch band and yet here we are

If you are not very pinned to specific Watch colour/material, there are some setup in customized studio which is cheaper for Watch+braided solo loop combo rather on their own.

I lost interest in various watch bands for various occasion kind of thing. I did get the last Pride sport band which I really liked the look of, but when I saw the braided black band...

It's the ultimate in practicality.

Just slip the watch on & go. No adjustments, no fiddling, just slip it on & go. It's super comfortable. I love it.
