I don't care for the smartthings app and everyone in my immediate family are Apple users. I really just want open communications across all the devices. I got the smart things as a relatively easy "security" system for while we were on vacation a few years ago.I don't know smartthings automates pretty well. I have not found al to of uses on home kit but for a few things. I don't do a lot of voice activation though smartthings is pretty capable and will handle a huge amount of devices. though having to program them on the webpage is a bit of a pain.

Not trying to be rude, serious question. What Is the point of buying one of these bicycles with a motor? Wouldn't it be better to just buy a motorcycle? Good luck on it, its really cool looking!A speed de-restriction dongle for my Cube electric pushbike.
The bikes motor is restricted from giving assistance to pedalling at speeds above 15mph, with the motor turning off. This can be frustrating as I often want to cruise along at 17-20mph. This device will allow the motor to remain on at speeds up to 30mph....

Super, thanks. Enjoy it - cool setup and great sound quality!
Thank you so much for that explanation, that makes complete sense! Good luck and it sounds like that's smart choice, spend less on gas as well. Its pedal assist, meaning you still have to pedal just like a normal bike, but the motor gives you assistance whilst pedalling. When you stop pedalling the motor cuts out. The motor also cuts out when you reach 15mph whilst pedalling. As soon as your speed drops back below 15mph and you start pedalling, the motor switches on again, giving you assistance.
The control unit on the handlebars allows you to adjust the amount of assistance, from 50% to 300%. When the motor is off there is some resistance when pedalling. So imaging you're building up speed nicely with the motor helping, as soon as you reach 15mph the pedalling suddenly gets difficult.
I use it to commute to work for fitness reasons, I have some incredibly steep hills on my commute that i struggle with on a normal bike. The ebike can make those hills either a bit easier to ride up, or a lot easier, depending on the setting.
Oh, and I've already got a motorbike![]()
