Ah, thank you, @SandboxGeneral; while I knew the joke - it is mentioned rather a lot on these threads, - an understood what it meant, I had no idea as to the background, as all I knew that it was a joke with a specific American cultural context.

Thanks very much for posting the background & clarification - actually, I find this sort of thing absolutely fascinating.

That is another story I wasn't aware of.
Apparently an urban myth.

Ethiopian coffee ordered (The Ethiopian Coffee Company are a pleasure to deal with) and two different handmade coffee canisters/containers from a small (but excellent) pottery company have been ordered.

Picked up my new car this morning.

2018 Lincoln MKZ

Purchased this card (not my actual card) earlier this afternoon. Mine has been professionally graded by Professional Sports Authenticator. PSA certifies that the card they received for grading is genuine, and then grades the card on a scale of 1 - 10, (including .5 scale) with 1 being Poor and 10 being Gem Mint. The higher the grade the higher the value of the card. If a card has been altered in any way, it is noted on the front of the encapsulated case for the card, which drastically reduces the value. The case for the card seals the card inside, and protects the card from damage etc.

A GEM Mint 10 of this card is worth in the neighborhood of $3 million dollars. To date, 1297 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle cards have been submitted to PSA for grading and only 3 have received the ultimate grade of PSA 10 (GEM MINT)

Here are some examples of the card I purchased in various condition grades, for those interested.

The Mantle card is on the list of the most sought after cards by collectors. I have several on this list as well.

Not a big strawberry fan. I'll eat them, but the way some people talk about them I just don't get it.

If they are industrially produced, look large and perfect, very often, they have little to no flavour, like Dutch tomatoes. These are best avoided.

However, homegrown ones can be an explosion of sweet and juicy tartness as you devour them.

I never buy them in shops; rather, I'll buy them in markets (from the people who cultivated and grew them, often organically), or, if driving with my brother, stop suddenly at the side of the road - this time of year you will see people selling punnets of the strawberries that they have grown themselves, and they will have little stands at the side of the road, often staffed by a bored teenager reading a large and heavy book.

Those strawberries are usually delicious.
