After days of searching for the right amp and cables and a display and putting it all together it's finished... it's ace.
Only got the small desk that came with the room so I've had to make the most of limited room... All the cables run under the desk so the top is nice and clear for doing paperwork, and the laptop is on the keyboard draw so it slides out of the way when I'm doing work on the top surface. Very useful.
What you can see:
Macbook (in my sig)
HP 2309M - beautiful display, great value.
Iomega 250GB HD - not a great drive, had one fail and this is a replacement one. I use it for my time machine backup and I'm saving for another...
... LaCie 320GB HD - mostly full of films & various TV shows.
EyeTV
(The hard drives and the EyeTV are all connected to a USB hub, which is then connected to the laptop to minimize cables. Speed of backup is reduced a bit, very noticeably if I'm watching TV at the same time, but it's ok).
Cambridge Audio A1 amp which is powering a pair of Q Acoustics 1010i bookshelf speakers. Tried to hide the cables as much as possible but there's nowhere else for them to go other than along the wall.
Not fussed about cable management as you can see from the picture of under the desk...

17" iMac G5 with 19" flatscreen
Here is my current setup. The Altoids tin in the picture is my usb drive that I use to transfer files. It contains an old 4GB iPod mini with the casing, screen, and scroll wheel removed. I also own a white Macbook. Not too bad for a 16 year old =P

In the states we have an easy on to get Matrox "Triplehead2Go" or "DualHead2Go" ... there are DVI and Analog versions.

DavieBoy - question - where did you get the different hard drive icons for your hard drives?
Purchasing a mac mini shortly and i will be hooking that up to my flat panel in my room with a logitech dinovo keyboard. Any suggestions of sound systems that i can use both for my tv and my macbook? Upgrading the ram to 4Gb this tuesday from crucial.

I have a pretty outdoorsy room. its an awesome room. Next mod is a mac mini with a LED tv.
