I just switched to Mac so my setup is a work in progress. Still need to buy some peripherals (wireless mouse & keyboard, stand, monitor, etc...). The big black monitor is tied to my wife's WinXP PC.

You have NO IDEA how much work it was to convince my wife that the "I WANT TO BELIEVE POSTER" looked nice on the wall. :D

View on the MBP.

It's a 2.4GHz 15" MBP that I bought JUST before Apple reorganized the MBP line. At least my battery can be user-replaced. The iPod is a G3 32Gb Touch. I use the Griffin Reflect case which I HIGHLY recommend.

Here is my setup so far, with my iphone as the camera. I was going to get a new iMac, but I am going to wait for the refresh before I do that. I spent about an hour trying to clean up the wires in the back. I got some of that plastic piping from my job, and did what I could in the time I had. I have to use a USB splitter (pictured), because my middle USB port does not work. I have my UMB on the dresser to the right of my bed, and I am waiting for my Rain to come in. The little light coaster is something I got from a store here. The light changes different colors every few seconds. Pretty cool for a few euros.

Hi.

What speakers are those and what are they standing on? Also, please give me the specifications of that Mac Pro. *drool*

They're Yamaha HS80M studio monitors. They're sitting on Auralex MoPAD Monitor Isolation Pads to isolate them from the surface of the desk (gets rid of noise coming from the desk resonating). I don't do any mixing on them, I'm just an audiophile who enjoys accurate audio reproduction, no matter how harsh it may sound. ;)

The MacPro is 2.66GHz quad with 6GB of RAM and a ATI 3870 videocard.

I'll try to get around to taking some decent pictures sometime this week.

I've been thinking of having a setup like that, placing my MBP on a stand with a wireless keyboard and mouse.
Is it comfortable?
I'm not him, but I have my computer on a stand and a separate keyboard and mouse that I use and I find it much more comfortable than just using the computer on a surface. I think the main reason is that you are not looking down at the screen but rather the screen is at eye level.

I'm also not him, and I don't have mine on a stand, but rather, closed on my top shelf connected to a monitor with a keyboard and mouse and it's MUCH better having it on eye level whilst still having the keyboard lower than the monitor.

I'd recommend a monitor or that stand (as long as the stand has it at eye level).
