HA HA :D yeah I kinda am a mac addict, but I upgrade & repair the systems only Macs mind you :p. I'm 17 so at the moment its Apple products and cars, mostly Audis saving for an Audi A3 :D or a Mac Pro when the new ones are out we'll see lol. I have no clue how you can become Hooked its clueless to me, but I suppose its like how can anyone become interested in anything really :p

Sweet, another Apple & Audi person. I was THIS CLOSE *holds thumb and forefinger extremely close together* to buying myself an A6, but I ended up with my dad's '99 Corolla instead, when he upgraded to a Prius. At least I had enough money to outfit it with an in-car Mac Mini :D

I would post pics here, but it's not quite done (read: the screen blew and the amp was useless so I pulled everything out, RMA'd the screen, and haven't got a chance to fix the audio, and I was tired of having no music so I popped the old radio in there, sticking halfway out, mounted by its own wires, with a huge hole in the dash in front of the shifter and another where the aircon vents would be).

...I should have just bought the Audi instead.

haha, I'm an Apple and Audi fan too! And I have my parents old '99 Corolla as well. Might get them to sell it (its still technically theirs) and buy an older Audi instead, however I have a feeling that will take a lot of persuasion.

In car Mac Mini? I have to see this!

I dunno about your area, but around here older A6's go real cheap, like $10k for a 2002 with <100k miles, from a dealer. The main reason I'm hanging on to the Corolla is so I can save up for an A8 :D

...and college, too, there's that :(

Made a few changes, most notable is the new 27" iMac. My wife uses the white iMac at the left desk, I doubt she will ever use the second monitor but it was already mounted from when the MBP was there so I figured I might as well leave it.

HA HA :D god insurance on an A6 in the UK would be crazy. I mean even for a 1.4 L Audi A3 2008 model its going to cost about $4,000 per year going on my parents policy. An A6 would most likely be triple that. Its so unfair really cos the majority of 17/18 year olds in the UK have to drive around in crappy 1.0 Litre cars. I also looked at insurance for the 1980s Audi Quattro rally car :D ha ha it was over £9,000 about $15,000 per year.

LOL I think your dad went backwards with his car, sorry dont like the Prius :D

@newuser2310: How do you like those M-Audios? I still can't decide whether to get them or not.

I just took delivery earlier today actually

They seem pretty good considering how crap my external soundcard is!

I haven't test them properly but they seem very good considering how cheap they were.

I listen to a lot of Techno/House/Hip-hop and they are very clear and quite punchy.

I'm yet to test them in Logic but am confident I'll be pleasantly surprised

Tell me about it, it's an absolute joke how the government don't give a crap about insurance companies walking all over us. Never the less, I am hoping to get a new leased RX8 in a year or so, once I turn 21 since they simply won't insure me below 21 - same applies for my dad's Jeep, they won't insure me. But I shall have to wait and see what happens.

Well, as Top Gear has shown, the best car for a 17-year-old is a beige Volvo estate car :p

And yeah, I don't much care for the Prius either. When I first drove it, I was amazed at how quiet it was, but now it just seems rather dull.
