I love the mario stickies! One question though.. where do you guys get these houses with flat walls?! Practically every house I've ever been in had textured walls lol.

Well, with cheap systems "subs" are usually just woofers. With this system it isn't even a woofer, it's more like a ....mid-woofer.

It is definitely directional unlike a real woofer, and it will work best at ear level.

I have to say.. I honestly know nothing about speakers. I just know if I like the sound coming from them. Right now I have some bose 2.1 speakers and while I love them.. they intermittently decide to not work and i'm not okay with that, so i'm looking to replace them.

After a little research, i've found that the Swan M10's seem to be a common choice in my price range for speakers and.. well, I can't deny.. they look pretty.

yes they will give VERY decent sound for the price range/size. you will be pleased with them!

That's probably because you live in California. For some reason, more "tropical" places, at least in the US, tend to have textured walls, it seems. Places like Florida too. At least from my personal experience. No idea why it's that way

Updated Setup~ Finally got a new desk from Ikea today - just finished setting it up. Still not done managing all the wires though ... and maybe add some more lights (?) I think the only things that are missing from my setup is a dock that works with iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 (not Apple's - any ideas?) and maybe some nice speakers. It's still in the works but so far it's great!

Some really nice setups on here. I wish I took a photo of my before setup, had an old VAIO and everything on the desk looked terrible, big difference to now.

I've got a pair of B&W MM-1's coming soon so I'll post another pic when I get those set-up and clean up a bit but for now this is what I'm working with.

Since everyone seems to be going to Ikea I made the trip yesterday. Now just to add some LED lighting behind the iMac, an Airport extreme, and some docks for the iPad and iPhones and I think Ill be happy with it. I just bought a used iMac G4 which is going to go on one of the shelves to start my collection
