quality is the same. price. mackie is around 10 euros more expensive. they didnt have these yet when i bought mine. but i think for those 10 bucks you get a cooler looking monitor.
on sound:
Lows: equal.
Mids: KRK a little bit better,
highs: mackie better.

the bass you are looking at with dubstep can easily be achieved. the only fequencies u wont have are the really really low ones. but i dont think ull miss them once you hear these monitors :D and dont worry about them being not loud enough... coz i never get these over 40% of thier capacity. and my neighbors on the other side of the road are sometimes complaining... :p

EDIT: on things like this, ttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFu2DfPDGeU these things sound uber awesome ;)
ahh my Sennhiser IE6's in-ears are burrrring with that bass :D any more artists that you recommend?

edit: just realised i know that song at 2mins already. one of my favourite :D

and thanks very much, ill give the mackies a google too and see what i can come up with!

im annoyed that you focused on the iP4. you should have one for each device so we can pick :p

It's been quite a while since I've posted a pic. I live in my office pretty much due to my work. I realize you OCD types are probably pissing yourselves over the wires, they're not my favorite either but they're a product of having to rewire, add and subtract things so at this point it's too late in the game to care. Eventually I'll move and start over and start right.

Love the M10's. How do you like them? I ordered some but they had just sold out, so I ended up getting the D1080MkII's instead and I love them. Swan makes amazing speakers.

1. is it possible to type on the MBP on that angle (and is it sturdy enough?)

I had the same stand so I might answer this one. ;)

Yes of course it is possible, not very comfortable for longer typing though. Wouldn't recommend it without external keyboard and mouse.
The mStand is made of approximately 3mm thick aluminium which makes it very sturdy.

I concur. Definitely possible to type on it, just not the most comfortable. I too recommend an external keyboard and mouse. The latest revsied mStand is very nice because it properly accommodates the new MacBooks and also the hole on the back of the mStand is now big enough to fit a DVI cable through so now everything can be cable managed properly.

Keyboard is a Logitech Illuminated and it goes for about $80 USD. If only Apple made a wireless keyboard that had a proper numpad... also, i love my backlit keys.

Nice keyboard, but it is wired I believe. Could be wrong.

Yup, it's wired. Helps to keep it insanely slim though! :D

And no, unfortunately they don't do a mac version. It's a pleasure to type on though, the keys have a real quality feel to them as it uses logitech's 'perfectstroke' system.
