my powerbook 17 and iMac 27"
The 17" PowerBook/original MacBook Pro really is the most beautiful and functional laptop out there.
I really wish Apple would go back to the original design style: square corners, all silver, thin silver screen bezel.

thanks very much for you input! i wouldnt mind getting one for my MBP - its sitting ontop of a software box, ontop of a shoe box, ontop of a desktop PC which is next to my deskI had the same stand so I might answer this one.
Yes of course it is possible, not very comfortable for longer typing though. Wouldn't recommend it without external keyboard and mouse.
The mStand is made of approximately 3mm thick aluminium which makes it very sturdy.
ah thanks man! damn that is quite expensive though hey. worth it do you think? It's a Logitech Illuminated keyboard.
Retails for around 180 AUD.

i purchased a $15 logitech keyboard, and WOW its feedback is incredible! not too soft, not too hard.Yup, it's wired. Helps to keep it insanely slim though!
And no, unfortunately they don't do a mac version. It's a pleasure to type on though, the keys have a real quality feel to them as it uses logitech's 'perfectstroke' system.

I got it for about £50 GBP, about the same as a wireless apple keyboard, which was worth every penny. Its a pleasure to type on, and since my office is also my home theatre its handy having the illuminated keys so I can instant message while watching a film! The SetPoint software that comes with it also enables you to customise how it deals with the function keys too. Its barely a centimetre thick so looks really nice on the desk.
The original one I bought had the space bar issue - but logitech happily replaced it for free and even let me keep the old one! I have had it for almost 2 years now and do not intend to swap it unless I get a new Mac or it dies on me. Before this I tried lots of keyboards, but now for ALL peripherals I only look to Apple or Logitech
What monitor is that?
Gav.
interesting. is this SetPoint compatible with OSX? do the next/pause/etc buttons work?.
i might give it a look - maybe there is something cheaper on eBay, $150Au is a pretty hefty price tag, thats a 2TB hdd
I'm proud to finally be able to post in this thread. My first Mac ever. 27" i7, 4gb RAM, 1tb HD, 1gb ATI. Also just got an iPhone 4, alongside my 16gb iPod Touch. One thing I do need is a new desk...

Headless Mac Pro? I've been thinking about getting an iMac 27" and using the workstation to do rendering exclusively.
Okay so here are my latest snaps, nothing major has changed since my last photo, its just that now the house move is over I'm settled in more
What is the hardwood/chair mat? Looks really cool.
My messy desk.
Wow, Nikon D60... awesome details. You have a penchant for expensive toys and a great way into the world of Apple -- if you're going to do anything, do it big!
Ha, I see a Toonie.. you're a Canuck.

Duuuuude. I left some of those really old unopened Star Wars action figures up in my parent's attic. They worth anything? I know there's at least Leia, Fett, Obi Wan, and Vader in the red packaging similar to the ones above your monitor.
I don't think it is, but I have heard that this Logitech Control Centre software does the job on osx!
