Just picked up the 27in display today for the office. I was surprised how well the 11in MBA base model handled driving such a pixel-dense display. Although, I did get feel some noticeable lag when I tried scrolling quickly while image-heavy websites were loading.

Great setup, pretty similiar to what I'm thinking of getting, just with the older 24in ACD.

What spec air is that and what websites were laggy?

Got a little extra money from people for my birthday so I decided to buy a Magic Mouse, also, wanted to show how the iSight looks in my setup...

I got it off of eBay. I like it a lot, however, it is showing its age a little bit. Quality is a just a tad fuzzy in lower lighting conditions. Otherwise its great!

That chair looks like something nightmare inducing to me.

It also reminds me of something out of the matrix. XD

:eek: at that bookshelf. I have a bookshelf but no where that many books. What is the main subject of those books? they looks like magazines or something.

That's mainly my pen & paper RPG bookshelf, so it's mostly rulebooks, campaign guides and accessories (D&D, Shadowrun, World of Darkness, Alternity, Midgard, Cthulhu, etc.).

Why should I? ;) I really enjoyed 'em, took me week to read all four. Yes, they're cheesy and no, I'm not the target audience, but I liked the slightly different approach on vampire mythology. Overall, it was a good read. :)

Do you think the stands help with the sound? I'm on the fence on those. I've already used my A2s for about a year without them, so…

I'll also like to hear about whether the stands improve the sounds of the AudioEngine 2 speakers.

I'd figured I will do a past/present thing now.

Nov. 2008 --> MacBook 2.0Ghz C2D 4GB RAM 500GB HD (shown on the October 2009 picture as I did not made pictures back then). It's located beyond that crappy Acer screen:cool:

October 2009 --> Macbook Pro 17" 2.8Ghz C2D 4Gb RAM 500GB + 80GB SSD Intel G2.

Januari 2010 --> Secondhand Cinema display 23" with the same MBP. iPad came later in june. (Black&White photo). Picture itself is from July

October 2010 --> iMac 27" 2.93Ghz i7 12GB RAM + 1TB HD + 80GB SSD Intel G2.

What made you decide to not put the iMac back in the window bay? Also, obviously you upgraded the iMac to include an SSD yourself... how difficult was it?

Simply because it would be a very tight fit. And secondly because the screen would be coming to close and , because of it's size, hurt my eyes.:cool:

The SSD install was not so easy after all. I was used to upgrading MacBook Pro's, so I thought I could do this quite easily. Well, no.

It took me a while but with patience and guidance of the internet, you'll be fine.

Just make sure you are well prepared.
