So I did a fairly unusual purchase yesterday.

First off, little history:

December 22th 2010:

I came across a 2002 iMac 15" G4 700Mhz 1GB RAM 160GB HD. It included the original box, original cd's, original mouse and pro speakers. The owner purchased this iMac new in 2002 and kept it in pristine condition. It's absolutely brand spanking new looking. No scratches anywhere and the housing of the iMac + keyboard are still as white as they can be. Price? €75,00.
Now, have in mind I live in Holland and you must think of those Euro's as dollars. (given the fact a iMac which costs 1600 dollars costs 1600 euro's here). Owner verified the iMac is very very gently used. It has been in a dust free basement for the last 3 years.

A darn good deal. Absolutely amazing. Those iMacs go for 250+ easily here.
A real bargain.

So it just sits next to my iMac 27". Looking awesome.

Now, some pics before setting it up and after.

Pictures are all taken with the iPhone 4.

Good deal, I love mine I picked up on Craigslist for $75.00. :)

Nice! 160 GB of HD space is pretty good for 2002 too.

Haha When I saw the WD Passport in that color while looking for one, I just went like THIS IS IT :D

I really like "standarized" looks. I'm constantly angry at my Xbox because it's white, while the rest of the things (TV, BD player) are all black. I shall find an Elite casing for it, or spray paint here I go

This is my new desk and setup. The desk is actually a L desk but my room is to small for the rest of it and I decided to just use it as is till i get a bigger place then use the rest of it. I'm really happy with how it turned out. :)

(sorry for the really bad pic. I'm still figuring out how to shrink high pixel pics from my new camera. :(

Digging the iMac, glad to see it set up and not in a closet. :) (Like...mine is.)

Mine's in the closet too... but it isn't even set up :(

EDIT: I'm surprised we're seeing so few new setups right after Christmas. Did nobody get any new Apple stuff? o_O

omg. of course. how stupid of me! thanks :D does it impede your typing much?

I've never used an iSkin, but the random one I have does require some getting used to, which I never succeeded at. :D It makes the keys harder to press at high typing speeds, or something. I don't know how to explain it. lol
