Your girlfriends place
DeskClean.jpg

Finally got around to cleaning up all the wires. Took about 3 hours to undo everything and route it under the desk and side desks.

Anyone know if they make ACD extensions that are all in one or do I need to just buy separate DVI, Firewire and USB cords. An all in one would be much easier to keep clean.

Wonderful! That is a great setup.

Can we get a shot under the desk with the wires cleaned up? I need inspirations to deal with all my wires

Best part of all is the pre-historic picture has a second gen shuffle in front of the right speaker. haha. Nice "staged" picture ;)

i wish i had an old picture of my first Packard Bell 286 PC with 13" color display and only a zooming 22mhz. 9600baud dialup on Prodigy Internet. Circa 1991

Are you guys serious? I post a beautiful bike next to the mac, (b/c thats where it will be sitting for the next few weeks while I work on it) and the only thing you can think of is "wrong thread".

it's not a busa, but thanks!

It is an office setup.... And there is nothing that says you cant have certian items in the office.

I agree with you. PERFECT spot for the bike... but NOT  a good spot to be when the wife comes home and sees it there. LOL! :p

Post another angle of the room...from the chair position.

With a lack coffee table x 1 off to the side link

Then a lack side table x 2, one at each side. link

Total is around 150 dollars. I should have bought a larger desk to begin with, but in our old place this desk fit perfectly in the loft. When we move again, I will redo it all.

Last April when I moved to my current apartment, I bought a terrible TV bench.

The quality was uber cheap, and overall, I'm even surprised it lasted this long.

If the snow and ice melt, I'm going to get that bad boy to replace it:

expedit-shelving-unit-brown__0086571_PE215404_S4.JPG

It will hold my TV as well as the box-thingy and my soon-to-buy PS3 slim.

Should work out just fine. Already got one, and the build quality is pretty outstanding IMHO.

Oh and yeah, I bought about 99.99% of my stuff at Ikea. Great stuff there...

It's been a somewhat expensive year. MBP 15" 4GB/500GB 72K HR, 27" LED ACD, Bowers & Wilkins MM1 speakers, iPhone 3Gs 32GB (trying to justify the $900 iPhone 4 purchase when the next one's 7 months out). Off to the left, Time Capsule (1TB), Windows tower used as a multimedia server to the 32" Samsung TV, next to a PS3, Sony receiver, my 30+ year old English-built Celestions, and of course the Apple TV 2G.

I love that set up, it makes to green with envy. :D

Was looking to replace my 21.5" with something a tad bigger but just could not afford a Cinema Display.

Pulled the trigger on a HP 2509m

HP2509m.jpg

Reasons I like it so far :

- Larger size (duh) :)
- Pretty good internal speakers (got rid of the externals I was using)
- Has DVI, HDMI and VGA inputs
- Look matches my Macbook Pro :D
- FutureShop was selling it at 299$ minus 100$ for Boxing Day and I did have a 100$ gift card so... Yeah.

LOL. You folks are great.

Yes, my gata Simone does love the massive heat that comes off my MBP. That thing will kick on its fans by just sitting on my bed (which I don't do anymore after my battery blew up from the high temps).

She still has her claws and she is surprisingly gentle. Just one time, I thought she might've scratched the screen.

Has the wife got you sleeping in the "dog house" yet? :) Are you aware that gas vapors are highly flammable?
.

she's at her parents house, will be back this weekend. Plus she's used to me pulling shenanigans like this. :D

the tank has been drained, but thanks for the look out.

you're right. the topmost picture was staged haphazardly on purpose as if a writer was suppose to be in the midst of writing.

our first computer was a packard bell 386sx 16mhz, i think. i upgraded the cpu with a cyrix cpu, i think, adding a math coprocessor and boosting the mhz. those were the days.

I recently moved. The environment changes all around it, yet my trusty Mac persists.
