Back from school for the winter break. It's a PITA moving *everything* back every single holiday; but I just don't trust wandering neighbors who know my apartment will be empty for several days...

Kinda bittersweet, though... I'll be graduating in May, and in a perfect world I get a job lined up, and will get my own apartment to myself. Which means this may be the last time I ever spend more than a weekend or so at my mom's house. :(

I keep my two computers in separate rooms while at school. But when at home, I keep them both in my bedroom. I'm glad I don't have to haul the desk every time, but wish I had a nice chair that stayed at my mom's, too. :p The specs are in my sig, and my MBP is usually kept closed and off near my desk while away from school.

And how I entertain myself... kidding! Wish I had the time to touch most of these; between work, school, a girlfriend and friends, there is almost no time for all these great titles. Retro games and digital downloads are obviously absent.

Looks like we have a lot of the same taste. How are you enjoying Final Fantasy XIV? And Id like a shot of the retro games : )

where did you get that desk from? It looks very similar to my desk except mine has storage stuff on both ends of the desk, which is useful but leaves little room for my chair to move around

Why bother, that's what hips are for!

Well ergonomically speaking a swivel chair is key, but if you're not really doing much else but staring at the screen, I would say he doesn't. I do as I move about all day between machines for work, but that's me and specific to my personal needs.

Now THAT is old school. Most modern smartphones have a faster processor than your mac!

True. The consequence of being a light user is long service from my Mac. For my computing needs, the Mac continues to be surprisingly capable. Suffice to say, I feel no want of an upgrade for upgrade's sake. :)

My new setup

Just bought a new 2.8GHz i7 MacBook Pro with the HR-AG screen. Lovely. Upgraded it with an Intel SSD and 8GB RAM! Sweet!

Here's me doing some coding :)

This is just a quick iPhone pic of my laptop setup. I decided to use the laptop in the mode you see in the picture most of the time and put it on the mstand and connect it to the cinema display when I'm in work mode (webdev). I have a Mac Pro setup with a 30" cinema to the right that I do all photography and graphics work on.

The reason I choose to have the laptop setup as in the pic is because I find that when it's plugged into the cinema/speakers/power I'm reluctant to unplug it all to take down to the living room or wherever. It becomes far less "portable".

Yes, I realize wires can be seen. Doesn't bother me.
