it has built in usb ports and cardreader + power sockets. phones and Audio L/R inputs/outputs. not something you can just buy im afraid

That is straight nuts! I would love a desk like that haha. How do you get those ports to work with your computer though?

The usb and cardreader ports are simply a (powered) hub wich i built in and took the cover off. The audio l/r and phones are extention cables from my audio interface. ;)

My setup

After watching this forum for some time I am finally posting.

I am a guy (despite the wall colour, new house and haven't painted yet).

3x 20" Dell 2007WFP. Windows 7 (Can't afford Mac Pro).

2x 19" Samsung. Connected to Servers. (second server in pieces at the moment).

1x HP Switch.

And of course my favourite part my MacBook. I would love to have more apple products (iPhone 4 used to take photo) and thinking of getting an iPad.

Anyone want to donate to the "Get Dave More Apple Stuff Fund"

I will get a better quality photo soon. Only got all the monitors set up today.

Hey Stefmesman, are you using any type of hub for the firewire? I have a late 09 iMac as well, and I need multiple firewire inputs/outputs. Do you use one, or have any suggestions? In fact, does anyone have any suggestions for a firewire hub?

hello, no i dont. my audio controller is hooked up to my fw 800 even thou it only needs fw400 just bought a 400 to 800 cable. daisy chaining can help. but for the audio controller stutters when i start reading or writing from anything between the port on the imac and the audio controller. wich sucks!

fw800 hubs do exist, they are expensive. around 100 to 150. but i recommend these ONLY for use with hard discs. nothing else fw800 that needs constant acces. because it works horrible.

I have three external HDs daisy chained to one another. The only thing I really need FW besides that is for video transfer from my Sony camcorder. I have this Belkin hub that gives me an extra FW plug, but I wanted something similar to what you have on the side of the desk.

this is what you are searching for. you can also mount this under your desk ;) or inside if you are crafty enough :)

Here is an updated image of my office setup.

Put up my collection of printed movie posters, in cheap frames which can be swapped out when I feel like a change.

Wish it was like everyone elses though with the Apple Cinema Displays and Mac Pros.
