Are you worried about the Yamaha receiver overheating with the stand on top of it or are the vents on the bottom?

Nice speakers.

There are vents on both the top and bottom.

Thanks for the link - is that enclosure aluminium also just like the superdrive? If so, I will definetely be ordering one.

It looks just like one, unfortunately, the quality is fairly cheap. But it definitely works.

I paid $25 for 3-day. But of course thats for processing, which it did in two days, then it shipped after the weekend.

I think ground is like ~$8.

Did you buy it from Audio insider? I can't seem to PM you, and I don't want to clutter up the thread, anywhere else I can speak to you?

You mean even though its aluminium metal (not plastic painted in the silver color), it still feels cheap? If you don't mind, could you upload more pics of the enclosure. Thanks again! Your setup is beautiful BTW. ;)

Hey kraft...how is the BASS on the swans ?

They aren't meant for boom boom bass. The cutoff is around 45Hz based on hearing them (although rating is 42Hz). Its a 5" woofer in a small vented enclosure, you can't expect that much. It gets muddled very quickly.

They are very good for everything except "boom boom" bass. If you want that, perhaps the Logitech products with the large sub would be more suitable. The range on the Z906 line drops to 35Hz, but I have never heard these to know if they are the same quality as the products from 10 years ago.

The bass is acceptable. People said that it was quiet but it does live up to my expectations at least. The response is on point since I listen to a lot of metalcore. It shakes the room a tad bit but it wont shake the walls. I still have my Logitech Z-5500 sitting here if I ever feel like that for whatever reason.

If you want a loud punch - the Z-5500 is your best option (although now on Amazon they jacked the price up, and Logitech's new model is getting average to negative reviews).
