What a change!

The old Mac setup is my iMac 17" 1.83GHz Core 2 Duo model (I had this setup posted in another thread, I can't recall which one. It was about 4 years ago). The iMac is still currently in use by my parents, and has been upgraded to Mac OS X Lion. My current setup is a 2010 MacBook Pro 13" 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo, with a 250GB HD and 4GB of RAM, used for my CS major in school. I have two shots, one like the previous iMac shot and another, more personal shot. Also, you'll see my iPhone 3GS 8GB and my iPod touch 32GB 3rd gen (my 80GB iPod classic had died months ago :'( ). Enjoy the snaps!

Similar setup I had posted before. My new mac mini's temporary home in my parents house while I'm away in Afghanistan and also it's temporary monitor (my 37" LG TV, a little overkill). Right now while I'm home on leave, I've been nerding out with my mini and macbook pro which sits at my bedside only about 8 feet from this set up. Plus this is all being closed watched over by my newest action figure addition of the Afghanistan soldier wearing the multi-cam like me (he obviously looks cooler than I do though).

The above setup features a Dual 1.25 Ghz Power Mac G4 (FW800, Radeon 9800 Pro) with a 20" Apple Cinema Display, a 20" iMac G4, and a 2.66 Ghz MacBook Pro (15", Mid 2009).

Here is my secondary setup. I will post the changes to my primary set up as soon as I clean it up.

Not a whole lot to tell. I used to have a much more convoluted setup with external monitors and the whole nine yards, but since getting my MBP in 2009 I haven't really bothered with all that.

That said, with my iPad almost completely replacing the notebook for mobile use, I'm tempted to bust out the accessories and get back into "desktop" mode. But if I'm going to do all that, a height-adjustable monitor is a must...

This is ridiculous! This is not a setup... You just organized and aligned your Apple products...
Show us how this table is in an ordinary day... You know, with the accessories, with the POWER CABLE etc.

Uhm... that it is actually my setup, if you walked into my room right now that's what it would look like. Yes, my two lamps aren't shown in the picture, and yes, my Mac isn't plugged in, so what? It's what I use on a daily basis. All my pens & "accessories" are in a drawer because I don't keep things like that on my desk. Is it really nessisary to show everything that isn't out in the open? Would you like a room tour as well? Sorry that I'm a very organized person that doesn't like crap on my desk other than what I need which are those three products shown above. And I'm sorry it doesn't meet your standards as a proper desk setup but I'm not here to please you or anyone else. If you don't like my setup, fine, keep scrolling down. No need to call it "ridiculous" or anything like that. Buzz off.

Hmmm, no need to be rude. I like the setup and there are no rules to what is posted within this thread other then the standard rules of all general threads which include NOT being disrespectful to other members of the forums.

Some of these set ups are amazing. Anyone help me out? Have about £500 odd to spend. Would like a display, speakers, stand for MacBook pro and iPad. Mice and keyboard. Also some kind of backup device?

Agreed!

Everyone is different in how they organise the gear around them, My desk gets quite messy and I have a lot of stuff, I'ld actually love to have a simple desk like the op's however i use everything on my desk. But yeh I agree, No need to be rude, And its not like he has a ***** setup either!

What an odd speculation. Everyone here has a different set up, whether or not they're up to your expectations is irrelevant. A lot of users have unique work spaces, be it messy or minimal, that's what makes this thread all the more interesting. Here's what mine looks like 99% of the time and it doesn't really change.

Sidenote, does anyone have any small-speaker recommendations that might fit in my desk area? Preferably in white of course.
