Agreed!

Everyone is different in how they organise the gear around them, My desk gets quite messy and I have a lot of stuff, I'ld actually love to have a simple desk like the op's however i use everything on my desk. But yeh I agree, No need to be rude, And its not like he has a ***** setup either!

I agree.
Sorry for that.

Here is my new setup: Apple stylish - clean. Inspirational.

I love your setup! How do you keep the cables so tidy?

Sorry, my 'virtual-friend', but you are asking too much. I own the patent for the 'invisible-cables'. And also the patent for the invisible-macbook, invisible lamp, invisible BUT I must clarify that my macbook is not using the power cable at this moment because I wanted to make it looks real clean, so people can think I have the best setup ever!
Eheheheh

Nice to see that someone has a sense of humor here!

My current setup

My first post !!

Middle Samsung screen on custom mount, hooked up to a P4 pc running XP, used for downloads, music and movies.

Left is my latest purchase, MBP8,1 (13" Early 2011) i7 @2,7GHz, with 8gigs or RAM. No SSD yet, but that will come soon I think... Already ordered the caddies to swap out the optical-drive...

To the right is my first Mac, MacBook3.1 (13" Late 2007) Core 2 Duo @ 2,2GHz, with 4gigs of RAM and a 120gig ADATA SSD (very happy with SSD performance, I end up still using it a lot after MBP purchase !!)

Also shown: Wireless Keyboard for the PC, 3x Logitech mice (wireless), some 2,5" external HDD's
iPad 2 and iPod Touch 4 also shown,
not shown: 2x iPod Nano 4, 1x iPod Shuffle 1 (my first Apple purchase)

Very happy :apple: Apple owner.

What make/model is that USB light?

My cousin picked it up for me. I think it was bought at BJ's. It has three brightness settings and the top glows blue (hard to tell with the iPhone's camera). It came in a 2 pack and had a adapter which held 2 AA batteries so you can plug it in and use it as a flashlight.

What desk is this? I like it a lot.

That is actually the bedroom set from my youth.

Wow. I've not seen an external iSight in forever!

I have a couple of them that I still use. I have one mounted atop my TV. I have a Mac Mini as a HTPC. I also use the app iCam. Lets you watch your cams from your iPhone and sends an alert if motion is detected.

The above setup features a Dual 1.25 Ghz Power Mac G4 (FW800, Radeon 9800 Pro) with a 20" Apple Cinema Display, a 20" iMac G4, and a 2.66 Ghz MacBook Pro (15", Mid 2009).

I love this. This era of Apple aesthetics didn't last long enough imo.

Awesome Mac Setups

I never get tired of looking at these threads. It's amazing how nice everyone's setup are.

I just created a site www.Macwars.net where you can submit a setup and vote on the most aesthetically pleasing Mac setups. If you're interested in submitting your setup into the database, click the 'Submit Setup' in the navigation bar. I would really appreciate it. :apple:

Haha, it's Facemash for Mac setups. That's hilarious and brilliant. I'm in.

I gotta ask - did you use the algorithm on the dorm room window?

Actually no, I didn't use the chess function to determine players ranking on setups yet. I might eventually do that. :)

Thanks, Ahheck. I thought it would be a fun little web application to make. I just love coming to Macrumors and looking at peoples' setups. Thanks for the kind words.

Thanks for the submissions everyone. I added added them all to the database. =]

Bought this 22" Apple Cinema Display ADC (1600x1024) in summer of 2001 for $2499.

Over 10 Years later I still prefer this monitor over any other! Still works awesomely with the adc to dvi adapter.

That's awesome. I remember going into a local CompUSA and using the Macintosh with your monitor in marvel. I can't believe they made 22' inch flat panels back then. I like the clear plastic motif Apple was using back then.

Remember this.
