Where did you get the desk? It's exactly what I need to better organise my setup (see pics of mess above :) )

It looks a lot like a kitchen table from Ikea with a mat on it. Something I have been considering for a while, but I would like a reclaimed wood table so it has more character.

room update

woke up today in good spirits but then became sad to find out the oldest Mac in my home died overnight... =( i raced to my local Mac store but, the genius said there was nothing he could do unless i wanted to spend tons of money fixing everything that had died T_T

anyway, left with a new iMac 27" 3.4Ghz i7... got it all set up in under an hr, very pleased with the power/speed.... 16GB RAM, Radeon HD 6970M 2GB GPU, 2TB + 256GB Solid State Drive etc....

What kind of Mac was it, and do you know how it died? Or was it just old?

it was an iMac G5? i forgot when i got it but the Mac Genius said for a Mac to go 7 yrs with extensive use was very admirable... i will be leaving it on a spare table to honor it lol like a veteran ... can't bear to recycle it/throw it away

Nice setup.

BTW, those B&W are nice but too pricey.

Quick question, would you mind measuring the inside dimensions of your shelving that is holding your table up? I know it's an Ikea piece and I was looking at buying one but I need to see if my little win box will fit inside. I really appreciate it.

It's actually a "Norden" birch butcher block dining table from Ikea. I attached the Molger wall hooks to the underside for cable management too!

hi sorry for the late reply... ok so the little divider shelf is obviously height adjusted or entirely removable so i took it out and measured the inside for you... width wise, the compartment is a hair below 9.8" inches.... height is again hair below 23.5" inches...

people often ask me one of the little boxes can hold a PC tower so i tried a couple empty PC towers and only 1 fit, the other two were 2 wide... so it's possible if u have a slimline or narrow tower, hope this helps! ~al

My apologies, I'm of no help in answering your question as I don't own either pair of headphones. Are you sure you quoted the right post?

The BassJump is actually connected to the MBP. I have a hub with an extension cable hidden behind the desk. It gives off a considerably better sound than stock, the software that accompanies it allows you to use the stock speakers in conjunction with it for a fuller, louder sound. I primarily use the M10's hooked up to my iMac as my audio source. If you're looking for a dedicated desktop speaker for an iMac, the BassJump does have a nice sound, it's compact and looks great (in my opinion, of course) but you can get better sounding speaker set ups for roughly the same price.
