Is that a live edge table? It is very nice.

You should buy some proper storage boxes/shelves for all that stuff.

it was an iMac G5? i forgot when i got it but the Mac Genius said for a Mac to go 7 yrs with extensive use was very admirable... i will be leaving it on a spare table to honor it lol like a veteran ... can't bear to recycle it/throw it away

Are you at all handy with a soldering iron? Those iMac G5s had very fail-prone capacitors that liked to leak after awhile. If you can pull the back off, and have a look around to see if any caps are bad, it's just a matter of pulling out nearly every component so you can remove the motherboard and replace them. Simple

It's an earlier MBP, not a PowerBook.

Not true. It's much too thick, it has no IR sensor, and it has a modem (MBPs do not have modems). It is indeed a PowerBook.

Just cleaned my desk. Wonder how long it's gonna stay this way :D
Sorry about the perspective. Had to use a wide angle lens because of a very small room.

Any suggestions?
Looking for a pair of some good studio monitors, preferably bi-amped with nice mid range.

Yeah plan on getting two of these cases myself....how well do they do on heat though? They received a good rating on most sites so I feel confident in their build quality...

avoid these.
I have two and Im unfortunately kind of committed to the design now.
But they have a tendency to not perform properly with the power supply that they are shipped with.
You can read more about it online somewhere. I used to have the thread links saved.
But seriously. They look cool. But its a gimmick

Picking up an Apple Trackpad tomorrow and still working on cleaning up the wires a bit more

You won't regret it. As has been previously discussed, magic trackpad makes the desktop experience as intuitive as mobile. Who's the little figurine in your picture?

jeez man. Those are some pricey beats.
thanks for the link though

I have done a ton of research and the Aktimate Mini is the way to go

They sound great.

Get a DAC, make it official.

[Audioengine A5's are alright too: not as good, but not as pricey - your decision.]

What do you want the trackpad for? It's okay on a laptop when you have to, but you would prefer it over a mouse? Just wonderin'...

I've got a Magic Trackpad and love it. Way more pleasant to use than the Magic Mouse, or even my Logitech MX Laser (which is an awesome mouse that I still love). For gaming or really precise work, forget the trackpad. But for general use? It's awesome.

Got a new chair for my work space, been after a low back style chair for my desk for a while, fortunately for me Staples accidentally priced this up as £49.99 when it was suppose to be £99.99, couldn't resist :D

Took a better overall shot of my desk with the new chair!

My newly devoted gaming chair/gf's chair (so she'll stop moaning she has nowhere to sit haha)
