What are the specs on your rig? I have an i7 920 running on a MSI x58m with 6gigs of ram.
I haven't looked at this thread since I first started it. Before seeing your username, I looked at the picture of your setup, saw the G5 and the Cinema Display and I was thinking "It's that guy with G4 in his name, isn't it?" and sure enough, it was you.
When I created JoeG4, I had a Quicksilver G4 
Most frivolous purchase ever. On the awkward side, I've been using plastic Cinema displays for 10 years to this date (bought it near the end of Septermber 2001). As big a fan as I was of the UFO design, I'm beginning to get extremely bored of it and anxiously await the jump to something new.
With any hope, that'll be a 27" iMac Probably next year..

Well, it didn't sound like he was being negative, and as for calling him out, it was his choice to show off how much money he spent - he kinda asked for it. I don't think it deserves any attack, but I don't think he was attacking him?
How's he judging him? He just stated the obvious.. the dude doesn't care to spend lots of money. There's nothing wrong with that.
Does anyone have any suggestions for relatively cheap LED light strips for putting behind monitors? I know the colored Ikea set can be had for around $40-$50. Lowes carries some white ones for about the same price. Is there a cheaper vendor for these? I have 4 monitors I would like to backlight.
I know there are several stores in NYC that sold LED strips for ~$12/foot. That means the on-sale Dioder isn't that much more expensive per sqft.
I know this is a subjective question, but how many 1 foot strips would it take per monitor to get adequate lighting?

Sorry to have offended you, but i don't mean to judge the man. I am just appreciating what he have. I am just guessing that he have much cash to throw and buy whatever he wants. I have nothing against the guy.
Did I say something judgemental about him? I even ask if he had the R34 that fyi, is a monicker for a Nissan Skyline GTR. We might have the taste.
Reviews of the Antec lights say they are rather weak. I ended up getting a couple of Ikea colored Dioder sets off ebay. It seems like people get good results from those. I'll post some pics of my setup when they arrive.
