That is pretty wonderful. I love the clock as well.
Appreciate that. Don't really think the picture does the space justice but I'm not much of a photog. The clock I dig muchly...moving gears!

What macbooks are they?
Do you still use all three of your macbooks, if so how?
Why do you have so many MacBooks?
All mid-2011 loaded with 8GB RAM and 500GB HDD @ 7200RPM, sitting in TwelveSouth BookArcs. The 13" has been copping the most abuse of recent, but each machine is turned on for at least a few hours a week...

The 13" (i7) goes just about everywhere. The 15" (hi-res) is dedicated purely to music (DJing and production software; sample and music libraries). The 17" is for any project work or software development. The 13" and 17" also run VMware Fusion for Windows and Linux instances...with that much RAM I'm able to emulate some pretty nifty infrastructure.

Aside from that? 27" TB display, new iPad (16GB Wi-Fi), Magic Mouse, Trackpad and wireless keyboard. Also have a Lacie rugged 1TB running off FW800 through the display, that sits on a TwelveSouth Backpack. Accessible from any machine that attaches to the display.

Wow. The perfect setup in my opinion. Which Mac gets used the most? :p

@Enjay94

You should upload a setup video to YouTube man, and post it on here, would love to see around that room in detail. :)

Cheers. Though it'd be wrong of me not to admit I'm pretty damn jealous of some of the spaces shown from around Part 14 on.

The 13" has been getting hammered the most in the last couple of months with the 15" a close second. Shamed to admit the 17" hasn't seen much love of recent. Been pretty lazy as far educating myself and doing work outside of the office is concerned. Now that this space is up and running I'm hoping to change that, as I'll be able to run the 13" and 17" simultaneously.

Wondering if I might swap the duties of the 13" and 15" though. DJ software is visible on the lower resolution, and if the production software is up I can run it through the TB display. Something about the pixel density of the 15", 17" and 27" displays all working in concert that I find appealing...

Here is mine, after a recent upgrade.

deskfull.jpg

27" iMac with an 8-year-old 23" Cinema Display (soon to be replaced). The 17" MacBook Pro is separate, and is usually not there (stays upstairs in the living room). All of my important info syncs twice a day between the two, so I always have the info I need on the MacBook when I take it out for work. The printer has been replaced since this photo with a much nicer Canon.

The original desk was only the desk, the platform that the iMac sits on, and the two lower cubby sections. I built some extra raised cubby sections which are where the Cinema Display, Macbook, i-Dock, and a few other things sit. These also provide permanent homes for a network switch, USB hubs, X-Keys, graphics tablet, Contour Shuttle, iPad, and hard drives. I then added the shelf above to keep paperwork off my desk and hold speakers.

The setup now works perfectly for me, when I can keep it clean.

The odd speaker and sconce on the wall are leftover from when the room was a dedicated home theater. I had to move in when we had a baby and he got my original office.

Nice set up. No need to replace the display if it still works fine! Mine is from 2007 and still going strong.
