Here is my setup with my New rMPB and TBD. Still working on getting some speakers and managing all those cables. My early 2008 15" MBP is pictured on the right as well.

Mountain Lion (main computer) - 2012 rMBP 2.6ghz, 16gb, 512gb
Lion (media/file/automation server) - Hackintosh (Sandy Bridge i5, 16gb, etc)
2x NEC 23" IPS 1920x1080 LCDs attached to 2 Ergotron arms
DIY desk that I built last summer
M-Audio AV40 sitting atop DIY speaker stand/lamps
Logitech Solar K750 (Mac version)
Apple Magic Trackpad
Mid-2000s Herman Miller Aeron

Loving the rMBP.

Being that my MacPro (2006 MA356LL/A 2.6) is too old to be upgraded to the latest OS so I got a iMac (2011 MC813LL/A) for my bedroom. Nice machine. I'll say one thing, I have never had a PC last as long as 6 years with constant use. I shut down my Pro maybe 4 times a year. It has 8TBs HD and has been my workhorse.

In terms of being retro I guess I might as well share 1 more combination of modern retro? hehe.

It's a 2nd gen 10gb ipod sitting next to my macbook air. I had second thoughts about plugging it in without pulling the battery as I bought it from newertech back in 2005 - I was right to have those second thoughts. After letting it sit 30 mins (charging), I tried using it and the hard drive jammed up. Yikes! The battery swelled up!

Luckily, it didn't break.. so a few days later after the swelling went away (not sure how), I managed to pry the ipod open and get the old battery out. Luckily, the iPod still works fine :D It's pretty well scratched up from many years of use, but it works!

Not bad for a 10 year old MP3 player lol.

This helps.

If you go to the 'before and after' section and look at the top left picture, that is my own before and after that I submitted.

Or just cut a hole in the side of a shoe box which is free.

The shoe box is a hell of a lot smaller than the actual cable boxes tho. It's also made of cardboard, which may not be the best idea if you've got hot adaptors and cables in there ;)

I love the lighting, but I don't really understand having 3 sets of speakers on your desk lol. Still, the room is a white room - and I LOVE bright white rooms.

Sorry if this has been asked already but is that a Supreme lock box, orrr? I can't tell if it's just the box logo sticker or an actual box. Let me know, thanks in advance and nice setup!
