Hey can you post the specs of your hackintosh

Is a windows only system just for gaming on my TV.

Specs: 3570K, Asus P8Z77-I Deluxe motherboard, Intel 520 120GB SSD and a Radeon HD 7970 graphics card.

This board although capable of booting Mac OS X some of the onboard components like sound are not compatible plus there are no drivers for my 7970 so i'd have to use the built in Intel 4000 chip.

Here's my desk. impatiently awaiting my 2012 macbook air to arrive

not pictured is my mini server, NAS and lacie desk rack

I used to keep my windows open all day but a recent storm took out a few tree's in the back yard and the shade is gone.

Amazon has it cheaper! I have one in each room, best purchases ever.

I know but I was feeling lazy and it was the first one that came up on Quidco. Plus I'm in the UK  .

What chair is that in the bottom picture? I'm sure I've saw a black version of it somewhere in this thread.

Want!

Love your setup. What type of white chair do you have in the second photo?

It's an Eames Management chair. Not sure which he has (nice setup AKCLee, btw) - Real Eames chairs are about $1400 each, but there are tons of knock-offs of varying quality (some good, some crappy) for around $200. If you search for "management chair" you'll find lots of versions/options.

I found mine on craigslist, it's a fantastic/stylish desk chair.

Thank you for the response. I'm sorry I should have specified, is the chair a reproduction or an actual HM Eames chair. I've seen some knock-offs on Amazon and considered picking one up. I currently have a HM Aeron, but can't stomach dropping $1400+ on a new chair.

The home office stuffed quietly away in the corner of the playroom in the basement. Hey, I'll take what I can get. :)

Yea, I see at least two variants on Amazon that seem to be "decent" reproductions.

While we're talking about office accessories - does anyone have a recommendation for a desk/keyboard mat? I'm using an Apple BT keyboard on a black wooden Ikea Galant desk, and it's very noisy and clacky. I need something to deaden the sound.

Something like this, maybe?

Problem with that is it is shaped to the desk.

I could have sworn there were "gaming surfaces" you could get from the likes of Razer, etc - basically like a big mousepad, but that sat under your keyboard (although not slippery, like a mousepad!).

Razer has the Goliathus Extended XL (Speed or Control, but it's out production so its not on Razer's site. Amazon still carries them... Here's the control version: http://www.amazon.com/Razer-Goliathus-Extended-Mouse-Pad-Control/dp/B004JMZXMK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1344099669&sr=8-1&keywords=razer+goliathus+extended

Thanks for sharing your setup. 2 questions:
1) Can you tell me more about the stand you're using for your MacBook? (Any more pictures of it from diff. angles?)
2) Those wallpapers are seriously amazing. Where'd you get them from?

Thanks!

Here's the link to Amazon for my laptop stand:

I love it, great adjustably and the fan runs very quiet and keeps the ol' Retina Macbook Pro cool.

For the images, I believe the come with Mountain Lion; if you don't have ML yet I can grab them for you and post a link here.

Hey, thanks so much for the quick reply, and the link to the stand.

I like that it's lower than the general mStand that most everyone has, and that cooling fan (and the price) make it a definite attraction.

No worries about the images. I currently have an old MacBook with Snow Leopard, but I'm expecting my new MB-Air w/ Mt. Lion to come in next week. That's great that those wallpapers comes with the OS.

Thanks for all the info!
