Someone asked me to post more photos of my setup in the last thread and I kind of forgot about it until now..

So here are a few more that I took just a few minutes ago..

DSC_0235.jpg

Oops on my focal point for the last one. I wasn't really paying attention. Just snapped them quickly on auto.

Setup:

11" MBA (previous generation) 4GB RAM in a bookarc stand
21.5" iMac base model (current generation) with RAM upgraded to 12GB
iomega 2TB Firewire external HD
Bose Companion 3 Series II speakers
26" Samsung LED TV
Xbox 360 Elite
Turtle Beach x31 wireless headphones
Amazon Kindle Keyboard
iPhone 4 16gb
Dexter Bobblehead
IKEA Micke desk

Taken with a Nikon D3000 with a 35mm prime lens.

I think that should cover any questions anyone may have

Is it just the lighting or is the chin of your iMac black?

If you're using something, could you refer me to the product?

I don't know if that's exactly what he's using, but someone I know has someone like this:

http://www.**********.net/collections/imac-21-5-wrap-skin-skins

EDIT: Apparently MR thinks the word in the link is a cuss word? I dunno, anyway the *'ed out word is
"s t i c k e r b o y" minus the spaces, obviously.

if you just go to the main site, it's easy to navigate and find the skins for the iMacs and other Apple products.

Thank you..

The 11" is perfect for me. I don't use my laptop too much, except when I need to do a little browsing and i'd prefer to be outside.. or when I leave town.

For those purposes, it's great. Though, I feel that if I used it more and for other things besides browsing and social interaction, i'd need the 13".

Hope that helps.

Heh, I am web dev, so it should be fine. But when I'm at the store & looking for it - I'm scarry how small it is and it would be hard for my eyes. But in either way - 13" is more looks like primary machine, but my primary one is an iMac. :X

I think you should get the "13 version. It's still super tiny and portable, but easier on your eyes. :)

I'll be adding my setup later today. It's changed since the last time, and my photography abilities are slightly more tolerable. You're welcome. :)

Nice OLED display :D:D, actually, when you move position then everything comes wrong.

Yes, and the best results, even in the right position, is through a camera. When I look at my screen everything becomes blurry (and double) and vice versa. :)

Not bad for making a lot of use out of the space. I always wanted a display next to my stuff, but I'm not sure if I want to go that way. Love the look though!

Current Setup:

2011 MacBook Air
27" Thunderbolt Display
Apple Wireless Keyboard
Magic Mouse
Logitech Z313 speakers
Ikea Galant Desk

I desperately need to replace the ****** $30 Logitech speakers. Thinking of going with some Klipsch Promedia 2.1's.

Mini is upgraded to 8gb ram, but otherwise I didn't mess with it, (yet). I'm hoping for a new release soon, but it's still performing more than sufficiently.

iPad 3 32gig WiFi with ArmorSuit screen protector. I totally failed on the install, but it's forgiving, and allows for do-overs. :D

The HP keyboard is a dream. Thanks to whoever posted it earlier. I think it was some Canadian bike riding dude. :)

Overview of my office. Mac setup on the right, PC setup on the left. Networking equipment is on the Ikea table to the left along with the printer. The cable modem will be getting moved down to the basement and a new switch and patch panel will be added. From there CAT6 will be ran through the house along with the addition of a wireless mesh network.

Can't wait to rip down all the paneling and plaster that's behind it and put up fresh drywall. I hate the old cape feel, but the wife loves it. This is my office though, so I'm doing what I want with it. Hoping to start that transformation in the fall. There's no insulation behind the plaster so it's incredibly hot in there.
