that amethyst is gorgeous. at least i think is an amethyst:rolleyes:

It is indeed an amethyst. I've always been fascinated by crystals and apparently they have some sort of spiritual healing powers or something... Which is a nice excuse to put it there! ;) (to counteract the obscene amount of wifi radiation and low frequency sound bombarding my brain all day)

Beautiful. So clean looking.

Thanks for your comment!

What colour Smart Cover do you have on your iPad? :)

It's a black leather one. Which also seems to be slowly disintegrating. Still working for now though.

Some of these setups have inspired me to improve the look of my apartment and computer setup, when I get home in a couple months that is.

Hey guys! Seen some really cool-looking setups here! Especially ones involving Thunderbolt Displays... :D

Here's my contribution, and I'm no photographer and the focus really isn't too good but you can get the jist...

Current Setup:

2011 MacBook Air
27" Thunderbolt Display
Apple Wireless Keyboard
Magic Mouse
Logitech Z313 speakers
Ikea Galant Desk

I desperately need to replace the ****** $30 Logitech speakers. Thinking of going with some Klipsch Promedia 2.1's.

Great setup. May I ask what you were watching on your computer? :D

Finally cleaned out the office last weekend, much nicer this way.

Not quite finished, need a better backup solution, thinking about another TBD maybe...

Nice setup! Loving the Dyson fan. Would you recommend it?

Oh, and WHO could say no to another TBD? ;)

I can't recommend it without reservations, it looks amazing and what i really like is that the air that is "pushes" dosent have any chopping, it's much like a constant breeze then a normal fan.

What i am not crazy about is the price and the noise, these things are surprisingly noisy fans.

I got it because AC makes me sick, too much temperature changes and i catch nasty colds, if i had to buy it again i would.

I see. I guess a case of form over function, to an extent.

Judging by your picture, this is not an issue you would have experienced; but with the 'multiplier' effect, does the fan not work properly when placed very near to a wall?

I'm the same as you with the AC. Temperature change + asthma ≠ good times.

Works fine when next to a wall also, honestly my only gripe is the noise, for some reason i expected something quieter from that design, i could of returned it but overall it is the best fan i have ever had and i can't really gripe too much about the pricing since i did actually buy the thing knowing how much it was going to cost.

thanks for the heads up. i actually went to ikea tonight and bought one of the shelves. now i need to work on cord management because its a nightmare for me.

I purchased one of these too:

I had to use tie wraps to attach the extension lead on the underside as there isn't enough room for a Macbook charger to sit inside the cage. It works pretty well actually, I just need a nail in the back of the desk to catch other cables...

The ikea cable trunking is great. I've got the Galant one (http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/20171722/) and its great...theres only 3 cables coming down the back of my desk - power, USB to my subwoofer and network...everything else is tucked away in the cable tray.

Recommended for anyone who has annoying cable issues!

Recently decorated my bedroom. Weird angle as I had to stand on my bed.
