I absolutely love a minimalist look. Here is my current (work in progress) office/guest bedroom setup.

I'm still looking for a great LED desk light that is very simple and doesn't stand out (to go next to my iMac). If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.

I'm going to eventually get rid of the black desk lamp and put some nice spot lights above it.

I'll be picking up a BlueLounge cable box to hide the cords and will make those loose wires vanish.

I'm open to feedback as I'm still working on this room (I love all white and simple clean designs - big focus on organization too).

Hi guys.

Some beautiful setups here: I wish I had the space for a dedicated place for my Apple stuff, but the end of the lounge is fine! It went through several 'revisions' before I ended up buying a desk, I wanted a home made one. It looked ok, but as time passed, I wanted something a little less cluttered.

The old one was made with an Ikea Expedit unit and a gloss white kitchen panel cut to size for the desktop/keyboard tray, with a small gloss white kitchen cupboard on the right. I wanted to build it from scratch to fit the alcove as none on the market would slot straight in. It looked better than it sounds, honest! But over time, as I like to fiddle about with stuff, it ended up looking a little sloppy and was a bit overpowering in the corner of the lounge. So off to Ikea I went!

So, here is the most recent picture, with the only difference being the replacement of the iPhone 4 with a iPhone 5. Much more simple! The WD MyBooks are hidden down the rear of the desk (space behind the headphones).

Spec is as per my signature, and the old setup is the picture on the left!

Where did you get that shelf for the lower right leg of the desk (the picture on the right)? Is it part of the unit? Or did you add it yourself?

How do you like the arc keyboard? I've been thinking about getting one for my mac. Does it feel right and function correctly?

I was just trying it for few days in that setup. It works fine and feels good, and you can use every key just fine -- it's just if you use Windows machine too, as I do, it is really confusing to have two Windows-keyboards. So I threw that one back to the drawer and bought a real Apple keyboard.

My setup when I was in school (2003-2008) on the left. The Vaio with docking station was amazing at the time :)

And my setup today on the right. Air is also quite amazing :)

Nice setup indeed. BTW is there any chance you could share the wallpaper? I assume it's based on the artwork at the wall?

Not so many standing desks around. Here's mine:

IMG_0033.jpg

A few notable pieces of geekery:

* 2009 27" iMac
* 30" Dell Display
* Leopold "Tenkeyless" mechanical keyboard (cherry mx brown)
* Sennheiser HD600 with home-made padding (stock padding is outrageously expensive and needs replacing after 5 years or so).
* My old iPhone 4 with a blue knockoff LCD/front/rear glass. I still use it every day, but my main phone is an iPhone 5 (used to take the photo).
* Black sticky notes and a light blue pen. :cool:

How are you liking the Micke? I'm considering buying one in a few weeks once I move to a new apartment. Was looking at Galant's but wanted something a little smaller.

It's a nice little desk to be honest. Quite sturdy, very neat, and only (UK) £60. I am thinking of getting a piece of glass cut for the top to protect it (it hasn't scratched in the 6 months or so that I've had it), but I think it'd finish the look of the desk off nicely...
