Ok, this is my set up, sorry for the image quality, the light in my bedroom isn't that great. I took the picture on my iPhone and mucked around a bit with settings in iPhoto.

I have a late 2012 base Mac Mini, Apple Wireless Keyboard, Magic Trackpad and Mouse.

The mini is linked up to a HP Pavilion 23xi monitor and some logitech speakers. On the left is my 2TB WD external drive and my turtle beach XL1 and xbox controller.

Also there is my iPad mini and my iPhone 5 is in my hand!

It has been a while since posting my last setup and since then, even things have changed (new flooring, desk orientation, etc). Sitting in a temporary location since my a/c upstairs died.

Using my HTPC (Mac Mini) because my work-issued laptop died yesterday as well.

I am reminded why I laid laminate in my office. Rolling on this carpet is a PITA.

Can you detail the setup? Thanks!

This is basic as it's just my HTPC (2009 Mac Mini) that I pulled to use for work.
Two 20" ACDs that were attached to my work-issued Dell laptop.
Ikea desk, legs, & shelf.
Orange Amps headphones.
Aluminum Apple wireless/trackpad and Twelve South Magic Wand.
Iced Coffee.
Blues Clues footstool (some older members will get this reference and note it is still holding strong).
REVV Series Chair - blue. ( I wanted orange but the cost was $80 more just to get orange )

And there is some crud on the shelf that I tend to reach for a lot such as tissues, duster, mirror, hairbrush, nail file, and coozie for when I grab a drink.

My office has a bunch of other stuff but there is a/c downstairs ... I like a/c.

I love that graphic or whatever it is on your MBA. Would love to have a wallpaper like that.

I absolutely love a minimalist look. Here is my current (work in progress) office/guest bedroom setup.

I'm still looking for a great LED desk light that is very simple and doesn't stand out (to go next to my iMac). If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.

I'm going to eventually get rid of the black desk lamp and put some nice spot lights above it.

I'll be picking up a BlueLounge cable box to hide the cords and will make those loose wires vanish.

I'm open to feedback as I'm still working on this room (I love all white and simple clean designs - big focus on organization too).

and

Hi guys.

Some beautiful setups here: I wish I had the space for a dedicated place for my Apple stuff, but the end of the lounge is fine! It went through several 'revisions' before I ended up buying a desk, I wanted a home made one. It looked ok, but as time passed, I wanted something a little less cluttered.

The old one was made with an Ikea Expedit unit and a gloss white kitchen panel cut to size for the desktop/keyboard tray, with a small gloss white kitchen cupboard on the right. I wanted to build it from scratch to fit the alcove as none on the market would slot straight in. It looked better than it sounds, honest! But over time, as I like to fiddle about with stuff, it ended up looking a little sloppy and was a bit overpowering in the corner of the lounge. So off to Ikea I went!

So, here is the most recent picture, with the only difference being the replacement of the iPhone 4 with a iPhone 5. Much more simple! The WD MyBooks are hidden down the rear of the desk (space behind the headphones).

Spec is as per my signature, and the old setup is the picture on the left!

Hey guys - can you let me know what lights yo are using to light up the desks and shelves? I'm looking to do something similar. Thanks!

In the process of cleaning this one up. May be picking up a new desk in a few weeks.

I am almost finished completely revamping my desk, but I couldn't wait to make this video, it also doubles as a short desk tour!

I am 15 by the way, and I paid for all of this myself.

I just went through this whole thread and found your setup to be absolutely perfect. (No offense others. I like your setups too!)

I have to ask you though; could you please post a photo of your setup, showing the whole desk? I'd love to see more of your place ^^

P.S. I love that Hardgraft slipper! :)

Best regards,
Alex

Here is a video of my old hackintosh/pc gaming setup. I didn't keep this one too long so its not in use today (I go through PC builds like shoes).

YouTube: video

What do you do with the build? Do you sell on CL or eBay? I sold a watercooled PC on eBay before, and listed my Uncle's iMac for him, but both times we got less than we wanted on eBay. Then the ridiculous seller fees (10% + paypal 3.5% fee), combined with UPS charging $50-$60 for shipping. It just wasn't worth it. I want to sell my gaming PC, i5 3570k, GTX 680, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD, 1TB HDD, Asrock Z77 OC Formula, 750watt Corsair PSU, Asus 24 inch 1080p monitor, Thermaltake Level 10 GT case, etc. I paid $1800 with shipping for the parts, case, and monitor. Where to sell?
