Office Setup

At work the IT Office recently got some new paint, carpet and a general clean.

What is there.
- 27" iMac (Mid 2011) w/ 24" LCD
- 13" MacBook Air (Mid 2011)
- 2x 19" Status Screens

What isn't shown.
- Samsung GS4 (Photo Taken)
- Epson Ultra-short Throw projector. It projects onto the wall above me for meetings and the such

In case anyone was wondering the two screens show me the network status like servers and switches information. Very handy as a Network Manager to be able to glance at them and know all is fine, or if things aren't see in one glance where the problem is.

Cheers, hope you all like.

Here's a cool tip... get some foam from a shipping package and cut it up and place four foam piece in the corners underneath the speakers. Works just as well. There is a huge improvement once the vibrations of the speakers do not travel through the desk... That's worded poorly but I hope you get it :p

I tried to put my speakers on my mouse pad with wrist rest and I think it is a huge improvement. Thank you for cool tip :) :D

Before I redo everything...

Never got a chance to post the last couple changes to my setup, and within the next week or so I'll be getting a whole new desk, so I figured I would share the additions I've made since my last post.

Got the monitor on my left for free from a friend, had it sitting unopened in his basement for almost a year. With that addition, my tiny desk couldn't handle my laptop stand, so I ended up placing that down on my left, on top of my bass amp. Still access to either my laptop, or (in the case of the photos, the who I am working on at the moment).

Sorry for the mess, it was kinda an impromptu set of photos. Hidden (behind the two side monitors) are my speakers; the left one sits on top of a 2TB G-Drive, which I use for Time Machine and external file storage. On the right is my main machine, a 2008 8 Core Mac Pro, then two empty G5 cases (power supply failures, both of them.) The G4 and Studio Display are rarely used, but it was a gift from a friend. The Xbox and Wii are connected to a capture card and my main monitor via HDMI.

That's a nice monitor! I see Dell touts it as "the world's thinnest display bezel." Looks to be correct or pretty close! Nice!

This is my 6th major revision since 2008, I'll post more pictures later but I finally have it back up to presentable standards! New monitor, speakers, chair, mic and TV added since 5th revision. The desk has also been rotated 90 degrees to compensate for the soundstage of the klipsch floor speakers. I also took a long exposure picture of it and I really like the result.

In the process of redoing my home office, not quite done but i like how it has turned out so far, still waiting on a few items that are taking a while to get here

Will probably be adding a Mac Pro this year, not sure if i will get the current model or wait for version 2.0 yet and i definitely want to get a couple of thunderbolt displays whenever they get upgraded to 4K, refuse to spend 1000$ on the old model but i really want a second monitor.

Nice. Can you share a little about the iPad and iPhone docks you have? I don't recall seeing those anywhere before...
