Just got my new 27-inch iMac (Late 2013 Haswell). Lovin' it. My favorite Mac setup ever - 27-inch iMac, iPad Air, iPhone 5s :apple::D

Tried to take some pics of my new setup, still need to work on cable management - and I'm thinking of getting either bright clear white blubs for the ceiling lamp or colour controlable ones, so I can sync them with my desk LED strip and gaming PC and get rid of that Alien 3-beef broth-lighting (usually I just have the desk and PC lights on). Lighting colour changes from red light district to polar ice blue depending on my mood and sometimes what I'm watching/playing... FIFA2014 with green lights is fun!

Alienware Aurora R3 (I like it) with an ASUS MX279H and a Bose Companion 5 speaker system, a 2011 iMac 27" which I mainly use as media server and as secondary display for my 2012 rMBP, both hooked up to a regular music stereo amp, bookshelf speakers hidden around the place.. and a Macbook Air which I mainly use to carry around the house for internet stuff.

Just curious. What are the yellow and black things below the monitors?

They look like some sort of laser scanners to me, and it looks like he's got some sort of a CAD/CAM machine behind him? So maybe something to do with 3D printing/scanning?

Could be way off base.

They are thermal imagers. The grey one is a FLIR E50exx and the little yellow one is a Fluke VT02.

Some sick looking setups been posted lately. I received delivery of my 27" iMac yesterday and am still working on the set up. Here are some quick pics.

The packaging for the Bretford mount sucks, but the mount itself is great quality. I'm pretty stoked.

EDIT: set up now. Still some work to do.

Nice setup! Really clean.

By the way: I see a lot of setups with vertical monitors lately.. What do you use this for?

Reading and writing. I put the news channel on there when I'm working too. When reading long PDFs for example it makes it easier. Other than that I'm not too sure, but I'm still experimenting.

I got the ACD mounted to the wall finally I've been waiting for years to do that but I can't decide whether to put the PC on the floor or leave it on the desk. If it was an actual MP it's be on the desk but while I love this case to death it just looks wrong what does MR think floor or desk?

Tomorrow I'll get a bit of channeling to hide the power cable.

I think on the floor would look better. That would allow you to separate the speakers more and make the desktop look more symmetrical!

Here is PC on the floor..

My view is the less things on a work desk the better, gives more space. But if it is less convenient on the floor you might want it on the desk. Do you connect drives, CDs or anything regularly? Because I wouldn't want to be bending down there all the time.
Personally I think your desk looks cool either way :) the case looks good IMO

True. I think the look of it on the floor is better, but if you are constantly needing to access the tower then maybe leaving it on your desk would work better for you. If the case was uglier I would make that sacrifice, but seeing as you have a good looking case it wouldn't be that big of a deal to leave it on your desk.

Not really a typical desk set up like I used to have but an "office" none the less.
