New Monitor to replace that VGA one, it was screeching and flickering. Guess that's what you get with 10 year old hardware. Also, new 13" Samsung CRT to hook up my Wii. Wii is run into my Intensity Pro on my Mac Pro and then into the CRT for no-lag play. Cables on the floor are an absolute mess from adding the monitor in yesterday, and I'm not sure if I am keeping the setup this way, so I am leaving them unmanaged for the time being.

I've have made some updates...

I built myself a gaming PC, so now I have 3 systems sharing the 32" TV. Wasn't sure how it was going to work out at first, but due to the Audioengine D1 and the Belkin HDMI splitter I am able to have all 3 systems share the Audioengine speakers and switching between systems is fairly simple. I also changed my headset to the new Sony Gold Wireless Headset. I did this mainly out of convenience since I can simply plug in the usb adapter to whichever system I need to use the headset on. For example, if I am gaming at night I have them plugged into my PC or PS4, but can move them to the Mac when I am done and want to watch some shows (Mac is connected to my media drive).

At first I was using the Logitech K811 for both the Mac and PC and just swapping between the two when I needed to change. This solution worked just fine, but I did not particularly enjoy gaming on the K811 so I decided to get a keyboard just for the PC. I did not find any wireless ones that I liked so I went wired and decided to make my own wire management hole with a hole drill and a desk grommet. I still have and use the K811 for the Mac, but it's tucked under the Mac during this picture.

Hi, I like your setup and I have the same TV, I was wondering if you can share the picture settings for it. I have it hooked up to Mac mini and am having a tough time calibrating. Thanks in advance

How do you like that HP monitor? I've been thinking about getting one.

It is 23" HP 23xi, The monitor is excellent, beautiful design, I wonder that he did not create but Apple HP :) It is slim and I like most, if not seen off the edge, or entire screen is black.

Did a good amount of changes to my desk :) Its funny looking at my first desk, and thinking how crappy it looks! Got Apple TV, a sound bar, and moved a few items around.

(Edited, because a couple hours after posting I moved my desk around again)

Hi - I see you're using a big Sony shelf speaker system as your computer speakers. I'm very interested in doing the same for the super-powerful punchy bass those provide. Quick question - where do you hide the receiver and are the cable lengths too short to provide flexibility in placing the speakers and subwoofer where you prefer?

Wires arent as long as i would like, but not too short my guess is 3 or 4 feet. I hide the receiver in a cabinet under my desk.

Thanks for the response. How do those speakers connect to the receiver? Is it with red/white RCA audio cables? If so, there are extensions on Amazon for under $10. Overall, are you happy with the sound quality from that Sony system?

Great, thanks! I'll have to pick one up.

Actual wires, red/grey & blue/grey. I do not have a subwoofer on my system and you can't even tell. So, yes Im quite happy with it, I currently use it for my Xbox and Moto X, I have a sound bar for the Mac, but the audio out of these speakers is very good quality, Im a big bass fan and as much as I want a sub you really don't need one.

May I ask where you got that black cover/case? Is the Apple logo not visible through it? I'm looking for something like that, but the ones I found are all see through... Thanks!

You can see trough every black case when the Mac is on and the logo is shining. The only way to black it out is to stick some kind of tape on there and then put the case on.
