Updated it a bit (it's crazy how 17inch look small next to a 40inch screen)

15-inch MacBook Pro (2017) connected to the LG 27UD88 monitor. Also in the picture: Belkin Boost Up wireless charger, Apple TV (4th generation), PlayStation 4 and a Xiaomi WiFi Router 3G (which by the way works surprisingly well for a router so cheap). And of course, there's that giant LG 32LB561V television.

I plan on buying a keyboard and a new (better) mouse, so I can use my Mac in clamshell mode. But I'll have to make room to 'store' the notebook somewhere. And my desk has always been and still is a total mess. xD

I have been using my actual PC less and less and less to the point to where I was just feeling bad that it was sitting around doing nothing.
My MacPro 6,1 6core has been my most used little Mac for awhile but I just wanted to extend the life of that little guy a little further until I can see what this next new Mac Pro will be all about next year.

Q up ridiculous eGPU enclosure for Mac Pro.

So I picked up the Akitio Node.
I did not want to put the stock fan/heatsink back on the 1080Ti FE card I have so... let's see if the GPU, a 120mm radiator, 120mm fan, EKWB D5 pump/reservoir and hard line will all fit inside the Node.
Yes, yes it will.

So at my office.
Mac Pro 6Core, 32GB RAM, D500's, 512GB Samsung 960 nVme, dual 34" LG UltraWides
now with a very quiet 1080Ti eGPU
that I can just pick up and bring home if I need a little extra horsepower and connect the 13" tbMBP.

Cool set up. Couple questions.

What adapter did you use to get the SSD to your nMP?
Are you on High Sierra? If so,, how did you get eGPU with nVidia GPU to work? Is it stable?

Thanks.
