Last time I was about I think I had just got a 20" iMac ( 2007? ) and moved into our own home.
Anyway back then I was kinda making do with hand me down gear etc.

Since then things have improved somewhat for me.

I now have a 27" iMac ( 2010 ) in my bedroom that currently needs a new drive/OS and some TLC. ( More on that setup later I promise. )

However, All is not lost, I do have a MacBook Air that is hot swappable with what you see in the pictures.

Keyboard/Mice/Orbweaver etc are all on the 348Q's Built in USB Hub, Which is connected to the Razer Laptop stand/USB Hub.

All I need to plug/unplug is 1 power, 1 Ethernet, 1 USB and 1 Mini Display Port.
4 plugs all on the left hand side easy to get to. Can't really get easier than that.

My Plan was to be able to run either Mac OS, Windows 10 or Linux/Pi etc at the same spot and only need to swap two laptops. I can also stream my Xbox One X and PS4 Pro to this system. The iPad Pro is sat in a Logi magnetic charging Base/Dock within a Logitech Hard Keyboard case that fits the dock easily and runs Duet Pro so can be used as a third display without the need for a lightning cable.

Whether I'm off to a meeting, Lan, Holiday or whatever, I only need take Both the laptop, MBA, bluetooth xbox controller and iPad Pro and I have everything I have at home, While I'm away, Minus the 34" display.
All fits in a Republic Of Gamers Bag with enough room for a weekends worth of clothes etc.

We're now in the middle of a full renovation of our flat so It's all being moved. Once finished the display will be on a Swing Arm and there will be a Mini ITX gaming rig and possibly a New Mac Mini. Less clutter but more power.

Update on my desk setup... I got a an AMD RX 580 graphics card and Razer Core X eGPU case and set it up finally! Got it working in both MacOS and Windows (with a touch of finesse). Super stoked on getting a boost and overall setup complete on my 2017 MBP. Now I just need a little help with wire management, lol.

I actually really like it a lot. For a low profile keyboard the keys are nice and the ability to switch between 3 different saved devices with a click of a button is nice. And it’s backlit with a num pad (must have for my day job).

As for the dial functionality, I actually don’t use it that much. I use this keyboard for my day job of business analytics, and my photography editing on the side, but I find my self just using the traditional means in editing. It’s kind of limited to a set few apps that have been optimized to really use the dial.

But having it for over a year, I can say it’s a nice, reliable keyboard if you like low-profile keys, albeit a rather pricey one.

For something a little different - my "photo frame" setup:

2006 Mac Mini powering a 20" Cinema Display. The Mini stays hidden behind some books.

The Mini is overkill to essentially run a slideshow, but it is the only thing I could get to work right with this monitor (which I want to use since it is so nice looking). I'm pretty happy with it (for now)!

I just sold my 2013 iMac and decided to live with a portable setup with my MacBook Pro, iPhone and iPad mini.
