Thanks for the run down, you really do have a quite a gorgeous, maximum efficiency set-up going for yourself!
Thanks mate, its been progress over 8 years, even in this house I have had a few versions of the setup and finally got to a point I love!

Is the Cinema Display still holding up with other displays?

Can you charge and the MBA via Thunderbolt?
My workplace is throwing away about 7 Thunderbolt displays as we want to get rid of these last remaining screens. I was going to keep one but realized it's only 2560x1440 resolution. Text seemed not as sharp as I hoped when I plugged in my M1 MBA.

Yeah, under Big Sur onwards, anything less than 4K looks terrible.

Taken a while to get to this point and I think this is not v3 of this kind of layout and desk but LOVE IT!

Thinking of making a few adjustments (Remove MacMini M1) and then replace MacBook Air for MacBook Pro 14.

Also going to upgrade the iPad 12.9 to Gen 5 soon (I think!).

I promise you it all does have a use ;)

Here's my studio apartment setup! I have a 2021 M1 Max MacBook Pro running a 20" DVI Cinema Display which I got for free from a coworker who was about to discard it. All of my lights are from Ikea and are on hue bulbs.

My Christmas setup
Specs: MacBook Pro Late 2012 8+128GB
Apple Cinema HD Display

I might be getting an iMac soon though because the MBP is really starting to show its age

Right the new MBP 14 is in, replacing the Mac mini. I have also removed the iPad just to tidy it up.

I now need to get a laptop arm to remove some more off the desk and I can then tidy the cable up.

I now have a MacBook Air M1 (16GB) and a Mac mini M1 (16GB) FOR SALE.

Not sure what is next?

Here is my current Mac desktop setup in my room:

An M1 MacBook Air hooked up to a CalDigit TS3 Plus Thunderbolt 3 dock with an Apple Thunderbolt display also hooked up. I also have an MthsTec USB-C Blu-Ray burner hooked up to the TS3 Plus dock, and some external storage solutions.

Is that a Samsung 49" monitor?

In that first picture I honestly swear someone's bra was hanging from a hook about the PC.

Much cleaner! More focused to get stuff done!
I think often we're all too focused on how great our setups are and not so much about getting things done: work/skills or play.
