This is my work setup. Three screens connected to my 11" Macbook Air via a couple USB graphics adapters and the thunderbolt port. It all sits on a height-adjustable desk. Very nice to work on. Headphones are Sennheiser HD 280 Pro.
The two large screens are also connected to a high-end PC for CAD work. The black mouse is for the PC. The magic mouse is for the laptop. Monitors are 24" 1080p Dells with another Dell at 1280x1024. It all works out nicely. I have a template to chop up pictures for my four screens that adjusts for different DPI, bezels, and space between monitors.

Is that 11 inch Air powerful enough to power all those pixels??

There are some very nice monitors here.
Anyone on here have a Dell U2414 or U2415? I'm trying to decide between the two and would love some feedback.
Also heard a new Dell U2515 is due to be released soon (any ideas on what the price will be? should I wait for that instead?)

I feel like this belongs in the G5 furniture thread from a while back, but over the weekend, I was cleaning out the garage and found some old shelving. A couple hours and a spare can of black stain later, I've finally got a nightstand.

The G5s are dead of course, the one on the right is hollow. Pretend there's a Mac in this picture. It's sitting NEXT to my setup, so I guess it's part of it.

To do:
- Replace Rapoo keyboard with an Apple wireless keyboard. :)

I've never seen Rapoo. I went to their website and the keyboards look awesome. Please let me know why you want to switch to Apple's. IMHO those Rapoo look better than the Apple keyboards. At home I prefer the Moshi Luna in terms of looks an tactility over the Apple wireless keyboard.

The Rapoo indeed does look better. I've replaced it with an Apple keyboard and the Apple keyboard is much nicer to type on. Also, the Apple keyboard has Mac-specific keys, my Rapoo has a Windows layout which doesn't work that great. Also, the Rapoo tends to lose the connection sometimes, resulting in skipped characters.

Updated my desk, got an arm for the LG monitor also. You can see the bottom of one of the 2 speakers I have mounted on either side of the window that the computer plays through. rMBP over thunderbolt, thunderbolt to ethernet on the monitor and a usb 3 4tb drive also through it.

Minimal Overkill

So much has changed. Got rid of the iMac, picked up a Mac Pro, adding in more outboard gear as I go.

This is my writing/blogging workstation. My iPad is my main home computer, I use it for everything, from surfing the net, to photo and video editing.

  • iPad 2 White 64GB (+ Apple iPad Dock)
  • iPod 5th Generation White 30GB (+ Apple Universal Dock)
  • iPhone 3G Black 16GB (+ Apple iPhone 3G Dock)
  • iPhone 6 Plus Silver 64GB (+ Apple Blue Leather Case)
  • Beats Solo HD Blue (+ Brainwavz Quartz Headphones Stand)
  • Apple Wireless Keyboard 2011 Model & Apple Remote

Do you know of any docking stations for the iPhone 6 Plus that look like the white Apple docks? I'm also considering buying an external monitor for my iPad, do you think it's worth it and do you have any recommendations?

White is your color

Wow, this is definitely a different setup. As far as an external display goes, you're forced to mirror the display which might not look great depending on the monitor, and you still have to touch the iPad screen for navigation which might also hamper the usefulness. I suppose the primary reason to do so would be if the text on the iPad was too small to read comfortably, but I believe the output resolution for anything that's not video stays the same as the iPad display on an external monitor.
