I was full-time remote when I worked corporate, then got a good offer from my current job, and was happy to be in the office again. Now I'm backed to full-time remote... haha. One big advantage on being full-time remote is I'm saving a lot of expenses on gas, Starbucks coffee, and eating out for lunch. In a way it's like getting a pretty good raise... but I live in California... LOL.

I'm sure you'll get an approved for a sit/stand desk. It's pretty much the norm in the office now... for health and ergonomic reasons. Hope it works out for you.
Absolutely bang on about the cost saving. My office is smack bang next to a massive shopping centre with loadsa great take aways and restaurants. Oh and Five Guys for milkshakes. I'd be spending my whole days earning there 🤣

Took a random shot the other night while listening to some tracker tunes (on the 486 w/ GUS behind me, out of shot) and watching the chats (IRC, Slack, Discord) on the Mac Studio (left, two screens: HP LP2065 and LG DualUp, both rotated) and the gaming PC (right: 32-inch curved Samsung 1440p 16:9).

did you adjust those pictures? why do your monitors look as clear as a paint on a wall?

No unusual adjustments - just took the pic. iPhone 15 Pro Max is very good in low light, perhaps that's it. They are high quality displays -- but nothing with the fidelity of a current Apple Cinema display.

Maybe it's the dark room?

Same here. Previously loved the look of monitors, trackpads etc. But now prefer the minimal looks.

Everytime I see a Macbook only Setup I think it looks so clean and focused!

Same, unfortunately it usually just represents a place where only little work is being done before the low ergonomics of a laptop come to bug you. At that point, at least myself, could not give a damn about clean and focused on making it work for me.

iPad Pro is unbeatable in this regard. I sometimes look at my desk and think wow, this is the paradisian life.
I'm in need of a new iPad as my trusted Air 2 is on almost it's final charge, so will look at the Pro. I'm totally clueless of all the releases on over the last few years.

Love the trackball!
Working great. I am eyeing the same one in the wireless but can only find it available in the U.S. in this white version. No luck in Switzerland and don’t have a trip to States coming up.

do you like that Logitech keyboard? I was contemplating getting it.
I really like the Logitech Mechanical Mini. Provides a nice typing experience, though not as good as the old Apple Extended Keyboard that I still have...but that's just too big on the desk and pushes my trackball too far to the right. I am switching between the Logitech and the Magic Keyboard because often the mechanical keyboard is too noisy for others in our office.

isn't it 1 cable to monitor and one cable to mouse? what about that webcam?
The monitor has two USB-A ports. I have the trackball connected to one of them (low power one), the other is connected to a small passive 4-USB hub that connects to webcam and some other charging cables, concretely a Lightning and a USB-C cable, that are hidden behind the desk until they are needed. Works flawlessly and charging speeds on those cables are actually pretty good.

For video conferences, I am using wired EarPods that I connect to an audio out directly on the monitor. The port does not support a microphone but this is no problem as I am always using the Logitech webcam's dual microphone anyway.

there keys seem to squished together. Does this provide better typing experience? I am using macbook 2015 and the keys are much more spaced out
The distance between the keys is fine. I am more struggling with the different layout between this one and the Magic Keyboard. Keep getting lost around the arrow keys on the right bottom. Also, I have started to use the Fn + backspace to forward delete - does not work as well on the Logitech as they move the Fn to the right hand side.
