Here
Slight update. My headphone extension cable finally came so I have my ideal (for this room) setup. My rMBP stays on a mStand where I can use a dual monitor setup when needed plugged into a 24" LG 1080p monitor and speakers.

Ideally, I'd consolidate the monitor and speakers with an ATD, but until it's updated I won't spend money on it. Good setup for college in my opinion.

Sold the Mac's and now have a PC Setup + Cinema Display. Looking to get another 20' or 23' Cinema Display as they are now cheap and still have great picture quality.

Desktop is a Custom CyberPowerPC
3.5GHz 6-Core AMD FX, 8GB RAM, 240GB Crucial SSD & 500GB Toshiba, nVidia GT 720 (1GB), Corsair 500W PSU,

ASUS Laptop is pretty basic, 1.7GHz Intel i5, 4GB RAM, 500GB Hard Drive, Intel 4400 Graphics

How come you sold your macs?

IDK about this person, but in 2012 I sold all my macs and other apple products. Built a PC, got an android, couldn't be happier. I had macs growing up, and when I got my first computer, vista was the alternative, so I got a mac. Then 7 came out, I loved it. And when building your own stuff, you just can't beat the performance per dollar.

Fantastic setup, please do tell us how do you like the new monitors?
Is it worth a few more hundred dollars for a 4K monitor or this QWHD is good enough?

As I don't own a 4k monitor and can only compare them to my retina screen on the rMBP I would say these monitors offer great quality at half the cost of a 4k. It depends on what you want and what you want to do with then I guess.

Stunning desk!!!!
Do you have a cut out in the desk and your ipad and iPhone fit into it?

Thank you very much. I had a carpenter make me the desk - I took the design from the "artifox" desk - My desk is made out of walnut and yeah there's a cut into to fit the ipad and iphone and beneath is charger cables where i can pull through the hole and charge the devices at the same time

Can I ask where you got your desk from?
